I am really excited to share that BMW Seattle let me get hands on with the new M2 CS! This is truly an amazing car, and a once in a generation type of model.

Updated suspension and motor, carbon fiber hood and roof and CF accents throughout the exterior and interior. At the pedal is pure raw POWER that is going to make you wish you belonged to a sport tire of the month club.

Like the legendary E46 M3 CSL, the 1M or M4 GTS, this is a car you are going to wish you had bought if you miss the opportunity now.

Yeah.. can you tell I loved the car? If I could, it would be sitting in my garage as the best Ultimate Driving Christmas Present EVER. (Actually, I would buy two of them)

Very well, I guess the question is, would both the M2CSs you'd own be 6MT?

It's one of those 'to be or not to be' kind of conundrums!!

I regret not buying the 1M and am not making the same mistake twice with the F87 CS.

I see that BMW Seattle has this M2CS for sale. Very tempting.

Absolutely yes both 6MT. I am/was starting to waver on that.. always manual transmissions. The new ones are so good... the launch control is cool.. my amazing wife could drive the car too...

(drives the 6MT CS)

MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS FOREVER!!!!

Yeah.. still love them 6MTs even if a dying breed.

Dead serious it would be in my garage right now if there was any possible way of me doing so.

I also heard they should have several more (maybe 3 or 4, different colors etc) in the next week or two.

The GM told me in November that they were getting at least four M2CSs. They are the number one M dealer in the area.

Very good chance I will head back down there once the rest are in for a photo/video shoot of all of them. 8)

You are quite lucky that London let you take one out for a test drive and photo shoot.

My sales advisor retired last year. He sold me BMWs for over thirty years. BMW Seattle is definitely the best dealer in the area.

The CS I drove already sold.. like 2 days total on the lot. This model really has that once in a generation feeling, and is being snapped up quick

Should you buy one? sure, it's the best drives car BMW has to offer these days and who knows if we are going to see another car like that with all the crazy EU regulations. I am sure the new M4 is great, but it's just such a big car now, the 2 series is the perfect size for daily drivers car, it's always amaze me how my M2 is such an easy car to live with.

Do I almost count? Sadly over here there are no demo cars and I’d have needed to get rid of the M6 to get an M2 CS which is something I just can’t do

Can't really regret not buying a CSL since 1. They never sold them in North America and 2. SMGII sucks.

I think the CS is cool but it was expected. What wasn't expected was the near fully loaded M4 price for a suped up 2 series.

It won't hold a candle to the 1M I think, mainly because the 1M wasn't just limited in units, it was also very limited in options so most of the cars were pretty much the same, hence why their values are overall pretty high.

I wouldn't compare the CS to the GTS, since the GTS was a flop and the CS is an actual good car.

This car is sweet! So what's it going to take to mod a regular M2C into one of these?

The CS comes with only 2 non-replaceable options in most countries (transmission | color). Sounds pretty limited to me...
