BMW M2 CS Gets 450 HP (Specs and Info From Exclusive Preview Event)
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Was definively not convinced by the combo blue paint /gold wheel/red caliper. Others combo should work better. Also think the large mesh of the carbon roof does not look that nice. The dome of hood is not very noticeable although there is first a side recessed part than an elevation (may be this was due to the light of the room or the paint) Should definitely be a great car but the base price is high (95 K Euro in Belgium) considering that it is mainly M performance and M4 competition bit and pieces added. Does not really feel unique. M8 competition in frozen blue was also on display in the adjacent show room. Looks great but it is a big car ! Moderator edit: The info above confirms the info in this earlier leaked M2 CS bulletin (original post: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1614985) |

As you may expect we had to leave the phones at the reception but the control was rather weak and it would have been easy to keep one and discreetly take pics (at least when I arrived, just at the opening)... To be honest I am expecting pics to leak relatively quickly

Sounds like a lot of money for what is basically an M2C with the mperformance parts bolted on. Was the bonnet like the M3 / M4 cs or was it like the mperformance version? |

I think BMW thought that they prolly under priced the OG M2 meaning they made a huge profit - just didn't drive a stake through the heart.
Make-up time w/ this CS. I was out when I sat in the M4CS - now I'm way out if it's close to $85K. My car runs great btw! - Love it even more now! Haha. |

I would think $85K too. M3 CS was $98K base so M2 CS has to be lower. Also new GT4 is $100K base and new 911 carrera base is $98K so definitely M2 CS has to be lower than these price points.

Here, in the US, the tax rate percentage varies by state but it's not "included" in overall sticker price, as it's done in Europe. |

Whelp, think I'm more than fine with the M2C. Guess if I want more power I'll just add a tune. That price just doesn't seem like a good value (to/for me).

Not really impressed to be honest. They just slapped on a bunch of carbon bits and gave it a tune. Still same car with just a tune. No mention in weigh savings? Probably because there is hardly none. Little bit disappointed..

I imagine the active suspension adds some weight to it...?

In the 70's makes me feel better. No way it can be as much as a base 911.

Imo neither, it has a recess (assuming it is the correct word in English) part on both sides in the longitudinal direction then an elevation making the dome. In the perpendicular direction, in between the dome and the bmw logo there is then a relatively large vent

M2C : 65 K New M2 CS = 95 K New 718 Cayman GT4 = 99 K New 718 Spyder = 96 K New 911 Carrera = 108 K New 911 Carrera S = 122 K I am sure the situation will be different in the US... The GT4 and Spyder are definitely the bargain here if you can get one. |
