First modification is on the books... Gloss Blue Raspberry wrap

And it's a wrap! But in this case it's actually the start. Have always loved my bimmers in blue (LSB and IB in the past) but was not sold on LBB. I have lusted over SMB since I saw it on a CS at my dealer and decided that was the route I would pursue.

After taking decks of sample cards to my dealer to compare to the true paint, I landed on Gloss Blue Raspberry by 3M. It is incredibly similar to SMB with the major difference being it lacks the metallic flakes found in the paint, while also being a bit shinier. Anyway I took the plunge and love it! Gives the car even more presence. While I was at it, went ahead and tinted the windows to help with the hell fire known as the AZ summer

Next up on the list is coilovers... this car is not great for my bank account

Gloss Blue Raspberry could be the best color name...ever.

Looks really nice, and yes, I originally thought it was SMB!

Wow, that's nice. And you'll be the only one with that color too.

There's a few SMB's out there already. There was a forum member that did autoflex coating, motorlogix on instagram, and someone who paid $25K to get it from the factory. I think I'm #4

That was my other choice but couldn't find a wrap that was as close as I'd like. Think SMB fits the car a bit better too.

Laguna is just my favorite blue BMW has ever produced. that's all.
Depending on what BMW does with M2 CS, I might get my M2 Comp wrapped in LSB.

Bear down! Curious, what was the factory color you wrapped?

great color!! thanks for sharing. had a couple questions...

Do you have pictures on the door sills? wondering if they left that as HS.
Also, do you have to change the registration to reflect the current color? i was just wondering if police will give you a hard time or a ticket for having a car registered as silver but it is currently blue. i know of people getting tickets in NJ for this.

Some new shots in different lighting.

Had my first legit track day a couple weeks back. Car is incredibly capable completely stock. I was going 7-9/10, mostly to protect the brakes. Even so, I was pretty much spanking everyone in my group, including a F80 M3, 997 911s, and a 987 cayman.

Next mods are going to be suspension (considering Ohlins, KW v3, or MP), camber plates, wheels (titan TS5 or if I can find a set of used HREs in solid offsets), and brake pads/lines. After that, I'll fine tune the driver mod and add power eventually. Love this car!
