Moved to the MPerformance CF mirror caps and paint-matched front reflector covers.

My patience is wearing out on waiting for Bootmod3 OBD, might need to do the whole DME unlock thing.

Beautiful work so far. Have you done or are you thinking of PPF?

Yes I did PPF on the front bumper, hood, and front fenders. Prior to adding the side skirts, I noticed the lower rocker panels were starting to get messed up.. probably would do that too if I did it again. This is my first experience with a really light paint and the road chips are insane.

Installed the Akropovic catless downpipes yesterday. Went for a first drive this morning and definitely an improvement in power coming on earlier.

The pops and snaps in Sport and Sport+ are now so loud that they've moved strongly into "annoying" territory. Now that I've got an impending check-engine-light and am motivated to tweak cold start, burbles, and exhaust flap behavior, I'm probably going to pull and mail out the DME for unlock.

Do you have any more details on the AA mid to akra axleback connection? Or pics?

I don't know if anyone has done this combo yet, so here is a soundclip. I had to have the midpipe couplers modified to properly route to the Akrapovic catback. Active Autowerke installation calls for a different cut point, so they won't join without some customization.

Any info on the midpipe coupler modification?

I have to get under there this weekend, I'll grab a photo for you. The Active Autowerke midpipe connectors were modified for both length and angle to couple to the Acropovic inlets. It seemed pretty straightforward, it took the shop about an hour once they had the car on a lift and the midpipe mounted to fabricate the changes. I believe the ball flange side was left mostly untouched.

A picture would be great, thanks! I'm assuming they shortened the midpipe rather than having to add to it, correct?

We were able to do it without modifying the mid pipe itself. Only the included couplers were changed.

Here is a full view from rear. Midpipe toward the front, modified couplers in the middle, and Akropovic (purpled titanium) closest.

Here are the couplers attached with the supplied ball-type connections.

Oh ok, just the couplers. Not bad! This will be my future exhaust setup!
Thanks for the pics!

Swapped back to the stock down pipes this week, just couldn't handle the volume and rasp at high RPM. Not terrible, but a step backwards for sound. I did a down pipe swap on the N55 and loved it, must be an S55 thing.

Also a cosmetic mod- the Eventuri charge pipes. One of the few (maybe only) pipe set that will work with the intake.
