Excellent look at the M2c exhaust system viewed from the undercarriage

Start watching @ 7m30s.

Some takeaways from the video.
  • Shocked how quiet and uneventful the exhaust on an EU spec M2c with OPF was.
  • Didn't know there was extra space above the muffler that could have been used to mount it out of sight. WOW
  • Those OPF cans are HUGE and apparently heavy. Wonder how much of the extra weight that the M2c gained over the n55 M2 are from those ungodly things.

If there was space to mount the stock can higher, why the hell do they have it dragging out the rear ?!?!?

Maybe a thermal reason?

It appears the Remus has it tubes tied...maybe they won't reproduce many.

Both of these are plausible, no doubt - just seems like a overt design at this point for the "smaller" ///M cars. The F80/82 and F87C have bigger cans, and the new G80/82 look even bigger.

I pointed this out in a different thread, but the new M5/M5C don't seem to have these huge exhausts. So what gives?

They could be the fuel tanks from a Jet Pack, the kind that a person flies, could boost HP by 300 or so.
