Thanks Apex
Dropped in to see the legends at SCR Performance in Loveland CO to get my winter 9.5in square 18 (ET35) EC-7 setup from Apex sorted - also did a 75mm stud conversion. Pretty happy with the look and rides quite a bit nicer too I had been running 12mm spacer on front and 10mm on back but we switched them for this setup to get the back looking a bit more squat.
One thing that surprised me was how light our 19in OEM 437’s are - wow, no wonder they are so pricey and very glad they’ll be safely wrapped up at home through the bad weather. Even at 18inch the Apex’s are noticeably heavier but for the price I think they are sweet. Rubber is 255 Blizzak LM32’s all round - these rims will double for track duty when spring comes around, probably wearing some RE71’s. Thanks to Max @ Apex for his excellent customer service and Mark Baer and the crew at SCR - the best performance shop in CO hands down! Who else picked up some Apex’s from the recent winter group buy? Post em up! Last edited by dcmac; 11-15-2018 at 06:55 PM.. |

I bought a set, too. And big shout out to Dylan, who added a set of camber plates to the order so I could get the free shipping. I also need to do a shout out to Slick Automotive in Ottawa, who allowed me to ship to their US address, and did the work to bring them to Ontario.
Mine will be wrapped in 255/35/18 Rs4s for track use. |

Question: Wouldn't the 18x9.5" ET22 EC-7 on 255 square set fit without spacers?

Thank you guys for the kind words! dcmac the car looks great in winter mode.
switzerr We'd love to see some photos of your setup once installed! swifty Good question, while the ET22 offset will bolt up without spacers, it's a bit too aggressive and requires quite a bit of front negative camber to clear. Any 9.5" wide wheel will require negative camber to fit up front without rubbing. Our 18x9.5" ET28 (available in FL-5 design only) requires only slight negative camber and no spacers, and is therefore the best option for maximizing tire width while minimizing additional mods required for fitment. Our 18x9.5" ET35 needs only 5mm spacers to clear stock suspension, as well as slight negative camber. We'd love to see more winter mode photos! --Dylan
