I purchased the M Performance LED door sills about a year ago... It stopped working after a month & now the dealer telling me that this part has been discontinued..

Anyone else has any information on a reliable substitute LED door sill replacement..

I saw a few aftermarket options on eBay but I'm wary of its quality.

Suggestions appreciate..

FWIW...Do you have 'M Performance door sills' that operate on two CR2032 batteries. I've found that batteries can die very quickly if door magnets aren't aligned and they don't shut off when door is closed. I've had them die after 1-2 months on drivers side (depends on quality battery and usage). Passenger side last longer for me since they're not used as often.

Yes, I tried changing the battery, it didn't work..

They're poorly constructed, water seems to seep in and short them out..

The dealer replaced them before and again both sides where out in less than a month..

BMW blocked new orders of this accessory on the M2C.

I feel your pain: I tried to order these from like 10 different places a month or so ago and all my orders ended up getting cancelled and refunded.

The M2 Comp has some new m perf carbon fiber sills (no LED unfortunately) that will most likely fit in the M2.

Agreed, not a perfect fit for M2, so to prevent the separation and provide flat fit I had to cut away the middle tab as seen in this video

cool lil trinket

too bad bmw discontinues lil easy upgrade items like this that would make the car cooler, prob not too expensive

you might wonder why would they make decisions like this? like how hard is it to continue a part?

Wasted $380 to have it installed at the port w/other M Performance parts. I noticed the separation before I took delivery and asked dealer to fix, but they also had no clue. I later figured out what caused the separation and removed the tab.

They seem to have replaced them with these new carbon door sills instead.

So I ordered these in the UK back in March of this year. When i paid for them i was told i had a seven week wait, they still haven't shown up!
My dealer has told me at various times BMW have had them on some form of technical hold .... eventully though enough was enough and this week I've asked for a full refund, not waiting any longer than 8months and not being any closer to a delivery date. Interesting though no word of them being discontinued over here.
