Has Anyone Put PPF on Used Car?
Contemplating putting some PPF on the front section of my newly acquired '16 M2 (followed by a ceramic coating). The detailer I have an appointment with said they wouldn't know for sure until they see the car in person whether or not PPF would be a good idea seeing as it'll be dependent on how many stone chips are already on the front section.
Has anyone applied PPF to a car that already has some miles on it? Curious how it turned out and if you have any recommendations. Also, FWIW, my car has 11k miles and a few very small stone chips on the hood but nothing too noticeable. Goal is to obviously prevent future chips on these horrible Chicago streets and highways. |

My car had 1000 miles and already had 2 chips. They may need to recondition the paint before applying though. And then the car will look even better than now and should stay looking good.

We have. Used Lexus 460. Only after the bumper was replaced, though. We did a full paint correction and coating initially. The cost of the film was not in the cards, they had an accident and then got the film.

Yes - have done this as well - my car had 3400 miles on the clock - had a couple of chips but they were touched up by the installer.
