F30 335i exhaust

so I picked up my 335i f30 m-sport not too long ago. It has the factory exhaust for 2015. Although at top end and after running for little you can faintly hear crackles and pops on downshifts, I want something louder. whats the best route to go? M- performance exhaust, muffler delete, full cutback system, or something else? I'm open to all options and id love to hear some personal experience!

If you are just looking for a louder exhaust these are what I did:
1) Catless DP - increased it some
2) Resonator delete - which gave me pops and burbles
3) MHD BEF which gave me a huge increase in the volume and length of the pops, which you can both set when you flash the map.

In addition my CAI, Injen in my case, gave me a really nice loud turbo sound as well if you're looking for that.

If you have stock downpipes get the REMUS full catback

If you plan on doing downpipe, REMUS or Active Autowerke axle back

Interesting, I feel with the car everything is there but just too feint. I have heard the turbo faintly but I know it can get louder. I don't necessarily want to be that guy pulling up with a civic without an exhaust that sounds like a lawnmower, but when I want it to be loud, it should be there. I still have factory warranty, so I dont want to void it till its all out.

Are you on a warranty plan?

If no warranty stands between you and modding, catless downpipe + tune is the way to go. And you also get to know the extra sound you're making is associated with extra power.

I'm still debating picking up a used axleback if I can find one for cheap, but I have a hard time justifying $1k for a sound change when the OEM exhaust sounds damn good with a catless DP. Midpipes/catbacks just seem wasteful to me when you can essentially accomplish the same thing with a $50 resonator delete.

Here's my catless DP + stock resonator/muffler

It seems to me that a catless downpipe is an absolute must. Everyone so far has had it in the list of mods they did to theirs. I have factory warranty from when the car was bought in 2015 until may of 2019, so it is coming up. My local bmw dealership offered additional warranty options, but it is very expensive. so if I were to do a catless downpipe with a resonator delete, you think it would sound as good as a full blown cat back system? thats kind of where I'm at now.

Lol glad you liked it. In the video I was only running a JB4 and now I'm running an MHD flash with medium aggressive burbles. As for the downpipe, its from Challenge USA
