Nice, so less than estimates.

If you get a chance through the M2C on a Dynojet.

So 110lbs heavier. Considering about 45+lbs of it is from the new wheels and larger brakes, it's not bad. Thanks for sharing!

I was about to say the brakes have to be a major contributor. I'm okay with that.

I'd say the major contributors are:
Closed deck block
Additional heat exchangers and switch to air-to-water
Big brake kit

All very useful upgrades. The fact it came in 35lbs under bmw estimates, is great.

I didn't realize the S55 was A2W... that is awesome.

Do you mind if I PM you? I figure you may have some answers for some questions I have.

According to BMW DCT is 55-lbs so yes, that would put it at 3,620-lbs.

Don't forget the exhaust. That definitively looks heavier than then the M2's.

I don't have the big brakes (-/-16kg), but we(in Europe) do have the OPF(those two lumps of ceramic weigh 15kgs each I've heard)

OP thank you.

Cheers

This is awesome news, better than expected to me. Wheel swap will be an easy way to help lower the weight. Thanks a lot for this info. OP

So without the new brakes a 34kg gain. I think I’ve done poos that weight more than that.
We can now resume sky is falling commentary on weight gain.

Now we need a European car on the scales and we know the difference. Interestingly, we can shave a bunch of this down again if we throw money at it.

Still it is a shame we have to. I was thinking last night that if BMW ever does a CSL, it would potentially not be lighter than a OG M2. This leaves us with options to even make a better package than BMW's own "lightweight" model.
