Need Suggestions for more power
Hi so I finally got my F30 335 xDrive and I love it. Its a 2014 with 55K on it with M-Sport and the auto 8-speed.
Now I am on a quest. I want to make as much or slightly more power to the wheels than an F80 and here is why. 2 years ago I did a European delivery of my TB in SS F80 and it was a trip of a lifetime. I did the ring a few times and put 3K on it before it even hit the US shores. I had it for a 10 months before I had to get rid of it due to personal reasons , Thankfully after a few hard decisions and hard work...Im back and better than ever. But now I have a itchy feeling that need to make more power than my stock F80 but now with a +2wd and a much lower payment . So I want you guys to help me mod this thing to about 425-450 AWHP and AWTQ. I have a charge pipe in the mail with MPE, H&R sport springs and M-Performance brakes (if that's what they are called) Whats next?!?! I am not familiar with meths kits so I will consider it if someone simply sells me on it or suggests it. I do want to keep this as reliable as possible as it will still be my daily.

Can always count on solid recommendations from IK6SPEED...
Based on research: FBO, tune, Pure Stg2, and E30 should get you right around the whp you're looking for. Just don't forget tires and suspension that can handle the extra power.

Your factory warranty is over....
5" step core $300+ ChargePipe $220+ MHD/BM3 $450+/- Catless.... My opinion... if a daily driver and occasional thrashing... no track racing... don't change it out... These three things will make this car move enough for most enthusiast's taste... it did for me being in my situation... If you want to run E85 then change out the Downpipe... but honestly at that point I'd go straight to PS2 if your not satisfied with just the 3 basic things... A F30 will never ever have more horsepower than a f80 mod for mod... The S55 motor is Awesome.... just wish and hoping it's coming in AWD... then I'll get one... |

So I forgot to mention since I got the car from a 3rd party dealer that got the car on trade in it has a Dinan Stage 2 Tune and a Dinan Intake. I was in Bypass mode when i got it but when I went to see where I would put the JB4 i was looking at there it was!! Dinan wasn't my first choice because of the price but what a find!!!
And as for the F80 Comparison im not looking for as good of handling as much as I am looking to get the same "oh shit" feeling when i mash the throttle. Looking to spend about 2K over the winter. So what I'm getting from you guys is Catless DP and Pure Stage 2. Ill report back with results when its all done!

How about paying a bit of attention to grip, and so you really should consider getting a M LSD. The open diff you have now is not the best imho when you're making over 400 hp/tq.
