Looks so much better like this. Actually looks like a BMW now. Hard to believe BMW designers really thought the connected grille design was a good idea on the M2C...SMH.

Why not just make a carbon fiber version of the painted center grille?

I would feel more comfortable with that purchase...feels less of a waste.

Because carbon fiber would not create the visual separation needed to improve its appearance. A complete CF surround might not be so bad, but doing just the CF center strip would make it look messier without any real improvement.
