Newb question... simplest way to make my car sound better?

Hi all,
I recently picked up a 2015 335i X-drive M Sport. It sounds pretty good inside the cabin but I would like it to sound just a bit more "sports car". Nothing obnoxious, just a bit more growl.

What is my easiest option that is also "budget friendly"?

Thank you in advance for your input.

Resonator delete. Won't be much louder, but if your auto, you'll hear the shift burble a bit more.

Catless downpipe with stock exhaust is a great option. Sounds almost stock except at cold start and WOT on my M235i. You just need BM3/JB4/MHD to suppress the CEL from going catless, or look into a high flow cat.

High flow cat HJS in europe or fabspeed in US (same inside) will not throw CEL but improve sound, not sure if you'd consider that budget friendly though.

Not looking to spend $1300 on a HF cat. just too much $$$.
Any other suggestions? I don't want to throw codes etc.

Resonator delete won't throw codes and neither will a muffler delete.

Downpipe and resonator delete for sure, it did it for me!

ooops, downpipe will throw codes. I would do the resonator and muffler delete then.

I've read muffler delete causes awful drones on highway at 2K rpm and less. I can'd deal with that as I do a ton of hw driving. Perhaps just a resonator delete?

CG precision catted downpipe and resonator delete no codes and sound a lot better. ECS tuning has the downpipes for 640.

Pick up an axelback then get a resonator delete. You probably won't be satisfied enough with just a res delete and stock exhaust. I picked up a used MPE and it added a nice growl. Res delete is next for me.

MPE is where I think I'm headed.

Newb alert**
Hey guys, I have a 320 xDrive with jb1 tune. I deleted the resonator and it sounds pretty nice but I want to give it a little more roar/gurgle/crackles. I don't want to muffle delete because I think that is to much going into school. People suggested a Highflow downpipe but i don't know anything about it. Does anyone know the negatives about getting one? ie: engine light, legality, dangerousness to the car.
Thank you.

Advantages of catless dp: better performance, sounds great

Disadvantages: voids warranty for a number of components, strong smell of exhaust, check engine light on (some tunes can remove this). You will fail emissions test/inspection in most states and have to remove it beforehand. You have the option of running a catted downpipe to avoid some of this, but they are more expensive.

Other reasonable options: have a custom exhaust built /w magnaflow (or something similar) or purchase an axelback

I would upgrade the woofers under the seats and then crank up the ASD volume

Try opening the exhaust flap (basically forces the one side of the exhaust that has a valve to be open all the time). It won't make the same noise as a cat less or new exhaust, but it's free to do...

This assumes you have a dual exhaust...

Assuming you mean no CEL = safe; high flow cats that don't produce CELs are not cheap so you might be out of luck...

The only ones I'm aware of for the N55 are the Wagner w/ the EUR6 and Fabspeed. I don't even know if they make N20 versions.
