Lightbulb TTFS| Introducing N55 HPFP Single Pump Upgrade

While the factory fuel system is adequate for stock vehicles these engines quickly run out of fuel with even basic performance upgrades. To help combat this, we are introducing the first High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) for the N55 direct injection engines! Our extensive work with Xtreme-DI has revealed this pump can expand the tuning and performance opportunity of your N55 motor. This is a complete bolt on upgrade and comes with everything needed to make installation a breeze. As you know the price can not be posted here, but it is far lower than our dual pump setup which has a higher fuel capacity.

The installing of the pump is fairly easy but, it must be accompanied by our custom base tune to work correctly which, is included with your purchase and you can use our tuning services for performance tuning or have your preferred tuner take your N55 to the next level with this brilliant upgrade!

Maximum Flow Rate: 195LPH @ 7000rpm

Maximum Rail Pressure 200bar / 2900psi (like OEM)

Fuel Compatibility: all known fuels, all Ethanol blends

Mechanical Data Geometric Pump Capacity 1.22cc (OEM = 0.897cc > +36% capacity)

After doing our own R/D testing we decided to ask an old time friend and industry leader Active Autowerke to do some independent testing and here was their results with an M235i with a Pure Stage 2 (PS2) and our pump on a mustang dyno. As you can see from the data it is supporting 425 wheel horse power and 500 wheel torque on a mustang dyno with pump gas only.

Independent Testing Done at Active Autowerke

In case anyone is wondering tuning is available by BM3 and MHD with out a need for our base tune for faster service. All our dealers can also provide the tuning services provided by us. http://tuningtechfs.com/ttfs-dealers/

Does this flow enough to run Full E85 with a Pure Stg 2?

You would need the dual pump for full E85, but it is going to get you ways further than your stock pump. If you are on a budget build E85 with Ps2 then it is worth the move since it is much more consistent than some other alternatives.

Hi Frank, if you decided to use bm3 or mhd to map the changes from the hpfp is the price still the same or minus the cost of your custom tune?

Thanks

The cost will still be the same. The pump does not include a performance tune. It only provides a map that is required to make it work smoothly. Performance tuning is extra and you can use MHD, BM3, or us etc.

Hey guys,

Maybe Im not reading this correct, why would I go this route compared to a STG 2 turbo upgrade on stock fuelling which can produce 500bhp all day long. Pricing seems roughly the same depending on labour rates etc.

Please correct me if I have completely misunderstood.

I believe you still run into HPFP crash regardless. This just ensures reliable and consistent power. At the same time I believe your tuning headroom will be greater

Ah ok. Thanks.
I re read my comment and wasn't sure if it confusing. What I meant is, you'll run into HPFP crash in a Stage 2. This upgrade will negate that

The installation is so easy you can do it in your own garage assuming you are handy enough to take off the intake manifold. try doing that with a Pure turbo.

Also remember those numbers are to the wheels. Not to the crank! Try finding another N55 with a different fuel setup that is making 493 wheel torque on a mustang dyno which is about 550 wheel torque on a dynojet.

The turbo is capable of making the power but proper consistent fuel delivery is key.
