Mod my car - what would you do next?

I realize this is totally subjective, but given I've seen some awesome cars on this forum, I'm interested in opinions. I am pretty set on doing the following mods over the next year, but I am trying to prioritize. How would you prioritize these mods, will probably take me a year and a half to get through these...

(Working on getting pics loaded here)

What I'm starting with: 2010 e92 335 xi, AW, M-Sport, Style 193 18"
What I've already done:
- BMS DCI, JB4,
- Lux Angel Eyes, Gloss Black Kidneys, Black Chrome Exhaust Tip, High Kick Spoiler
- 10mm spacers in front, 12mm in rear
Taste: Looking to play on the AW/Gloss Black thing (original, I know), given the gloss black m-sport trim. It's a DD, not looking to go FBO or overly aggressive. Just a stealthy OEM-ish looking beauty.

Mods that needs prioritization (with estimated costs)
- Exterior: Tints ($200), Gloss black rear diffuser ($200), Gloss black roof wrap ($350), Move front license plate to tow hook and re-spray front bumber ($300-400)
- Engine/Perf: New shocks+springs or coilovers ($1000-1500), Charepipe+BOV ($500)
- Wheels: Swap run-flats for non-RF/current tires have 75% tread left ($800?), Apex Arc-8 or similar in 19" ($1500?)

so, how would YOU spend my money?

I think window tints would be my first choice because they aren't super expensive and it's summer, but coil overs are awesome

Tints are #1. If you live in a hot place, they make sooooo much of a difference.

Next, I'd instead get MHD with Stage 1+ maps and a FMIC.

Stick with the RFTs until they're worn out.

I'd get the Bilstein B12 Kit & Hotchkiss adjustable sway bar links both front & rear. Maybe couple that with M3 control arms.

I'd also get a charge pipe & FMIC.

Best & Cheapest way to get shadow trim is to use 3M Vinyl wrap. You'll need a helper, patience, & a hair dryer.

Personally, I'd ditch the BMS DCI & get a
aFe Power 54-76306. You'll gain 16hp & 30# of torque with out a tune.

The whole idea of a better FMIC and Charge pipe is to deliver more, colder air, which produces HP.

I am sure the DCI gives you some HP & sounds awesome, but big picture you are way further ahead with a better CAI.

Tints, Apex Arc-8's with Pilot Super Sports, VRSF Catless Downpipes + MHD Stage 2. Somewhat decently quick car and it'll look nice

First of all modding sounds fun, but it being an N54, I would do maintenance first. Inspect the engine and all of its accessories and get all of that sorted out first. N54's can be reliable, but only if taken care of. Only then proceed with modding the car.

That being said, I'd start with window tint. You don't want to be driving in a fishbowl. Mine is 26% all around and 70% ceramic in the windshield. It's supposed to keep the heat out, but honestly the car still gets super hot when kept outside.

Then after that I'd do wheels / suspension. A drop makes every e92 looks so much more aggressive, especially xDrive ones. Still don't get why BMW made the car high enough for modding with your redneck friends.

Change the charge pipe. The stock BMW one is total garbage and I am convinced they designed it to fail. It's all plastic and definitely cannot take the pressure. Mine blew and I changed it with a CPE one. Personally, I don't care for the sound of a BOV so I just didn't even think about that.

$350 for roof wrap? Where are you buying your vinyl from? Go to Vvivid and get some high quality black vinyl at a very reasonable price. I wrapped my whole car in their Grigio Telesto gray color and paid ~$350. One year in and the car still looks great. Also the trim around the windows is already black since you have the M-Sport package so that's all good.

Another thing that definitely makes an e92 looks great is custom headlights. I did mine myself (look at my post history). I blacked out the inside and installed custom LED rigs with an eyebrow. The car looks aggressive and people don't believe me when I say it's a car from 2010.

Other than that, there are other great replied to this thread. Have fun!

Oh, please don't cheap out on your coils and get like $400 coilovers from ECS. That's just asking for trouble

All great tips. Thanks all.

Would you do the PE mod ahead of any of this? (I likely will not go full exhaust or DPs to avoid emissions headaches in NY).

Also, wheels+tires before suspension or vice versa?

From an 18percent airflow increase? - sorry, I Cant see it -

Looks like there is a point between 2400 and 2600 that it achieves this.. all else is about 2hp.

Best looking wheels IMO are advan rs, followed by BBS gt4, followed by duke 359/m359. Tiny is s must! Best suspension would be something with shortened shafts especially since you're x drive. If tck isn't out of the budget id lean that way heavily. Good luck!

I would do charge pipe, stock one will not last long with the extra boost provided by your JB4

Thanks Mike. Now the tough part: to BOV or not to BOV, that is the question...

I've read some people claim better throttle response after CP and BOV installation. Any truth to this?

If you are looking for a performance exhaust, all you have to do is buy the PE Exhaust Mufflers for about $700.00.

You could buy the 335is mufflers and do the Golf Tee Mod and "essentially" have the PE exhaust set up since you have a coupe. Therefore, you already have an X-pipe vs a resonator.

The 335is mufflers go for about $500.00. Both $$ figures above are used prices.
