Can't Figure Out an Info. Display

I can't find this in the manual...

2006 330i: For the past 2-3 days just after I start the engine, I get a brief display in the center info display - an amber snowflake comes on for about 5 seconds and then goes out.

Any idea what this is?

Thanks,

Tim

That it's close to freezing. Anything under 45 degrees or so will show that snow flake. It's normal

Actually, the snowflake symbol is triggered once the outside temp gets down to 37o - which is where black ice can form on the roads.

It means your car believes you are a special snow flake and wishes you a nice day.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
