M2 in Melbourne, Australia (start up video)+pics

Had some time to pop by the dealership today and had the chance to start the beast up!

Like everyone that have seen this car in person have said , "it looks much better in real life." The M2 has a really nice stance , like a mini bulldog ready to fight! I can say those back arches are wide and photos seriously don't do this car justice.

Sound wise, i personally prefer this car over the m4 with MPE exhaust. But, hey that's just my opinion. You guys, can judge for yourself with the video below.

Doncaster ,Vic. Apparently, most dealers already have their demo M2 , but they put them aside before the launch.

Sweet, very surprised to see it already on the dealership floor, my 2 local dealerships have them stored away until April 16th as mentioned.

So I popped by Doncaster today. They still have the M2, but it's upstairs, covered up. I managed to get them to show me the car, but no start up or opening of the doors unfortunately.

Around 11am. To be honest, I am quite glad that I changed mine from LBB to AW haha. Wasn't for me.

But, man does it look wide from the rear. Love those arches!

Very cool, I still haven't seen it IRL.

What do you think sounds better... M2 or RS3?

I think I'd have to go with the RS3, M2 is damn good though.

I went on Saturday to check this car out. The salesman started it up and gave it a quick rev. Damn it sounds good on start up.

Only another 5 months of waiting..

I asked the sales guy and he said you would be looking at November. Not sure how accurate this is until you actually place an order, but it would sound about right.

About a 6 month wait sounds about right, thankfully waiting times are not yet as bad as the US, i believe they are well into 2017.

Hi Gents.

Thinking of pulling the trigger very soon. Got a quote for $98.5k M2 Pure, with MG paint and alarm add on. Wondering how this stacks up with what others are getting?

Cheers

The guy from Doncaster told me they have used up their allocation until next January.

Doncaster, who is the largest volume dealer in the country, is getting a total of 24 M2's this year. That's it.

Definitely, sooner the better if you can, luckily i've only got about 6 more weeks to wait and even that is going to be unbearable. Lol

Thanks for the transparency gents, looks like I'll need to bite the bullet at some stage but with the stagnant used car market, I'm worried about the time it will take to flip my current 135i.

If anyone has ordered a non-pure M2 with sunroof or similar spec, I'd be keen to understand what price you were able to get, feel free private msg me if you prefer.
