Is the M Performance system catless? So it's not road legal at all then?

For the record, this car only comes with primary downpipe cat, correct? It seems to possess a straight pipe from the downpipe on back to the muffler, with no resonator or secondary cat, hence the sound being pretty loud for stock.

100% as it is from BMW press release.

When it comes to the exhaust, the engineers have put their faith in tried-and- tested M Performance material. However, the system was stripped down completely for its outings in the motorcycle world championship. The reason: without silencer, catalytic converter and flap system, the BMW M2 MotoGP Safety Car can still be heard over the roar of the prototype motorcycles on their installation lap.

I don't know if I'm getting old or just become more and more boring each day but now a few years after 30 I can't stand driving cars that drone and wake the dead. I'll settle with the Akrapovic.
