I miss heated seats. My 330i is the first car I have owned in 6 years without them. There are about 3-4 months here in CA, where it isn't cold, but the heated seats take the morning chill off.

I did however print the part #s from the post about retrofitting power seats with heating. I am going to ask the dealer.

Sometimes think about Navi too, but in my M3 I used it 1x in 12 months. I also refuse to have I-Drive.

Probably would have been less maintenance with Artic Metallic. I love that colour!

All in all....I LOVE my car!!

Next time I might add the Xenons.. I love the angel eyes. I wanted the sunshade package on the sedan but settled without it - I would get that. If I had some $$ lying around I would add Nav/iDrive.

I love my ’06 330i PP, SP, CWP, CA, Step. Having said that:

I wish the passenger arm rests/door pull/door handle/speaker arrangement was designed better. I swear I would have failed my first year design studio in Architecture school had I placed the window button such that easy access to it was blocked by the door handle.

I wish the window and door buttons were located on the center console as they should be...and as they have been in the '3' for what, 20 years now?

I wish the headlight washers were flush-mounted in to the bumper [as they were on the e46 etc.] and that there was a button that let ME decide when to wash my headlights!

I wish BMW had added the weight of a spare and jack to the car, even at the loss of some trunk space, as run-flats are still too expensive, too stiff, and not up to their conventional equivalents performance levels.

I wish the fuel economy gauge would go bye-bye once and for all. It is a stupid anachronism that BMW should finally do away with. It annoys me to have to watch this completely useless needle bobbing constantly back and forth. Put an oil temp or some other useful gauge there or black it out.

I wish BMW would, like every other manufacturer, find a way to flush mount the airbag into the sport steering wheel rather than having the current colostomy bag bulge that they now have.

I wish BMW could figure out how to make the '3' series doors close, WITH ONLY ONE LITTLE PUSH, and with the sound of quality of say, a Honda Accord. This is a $45,000 car and they make 100,000 of them a year. This should not be a difficult problem to solve. I am sick and tired of every idiot who gets in and out of my car commenting on how suprised they are at the low quality sound and feel of the doors when they close, "I thought this was supposed to be a BMW man" they all say.

I wish BMW offered, at least as an option [again, like most of its competitors] an automatic tilt/telescope function. Don't give me any of that crap about "something else to break" because this feature has worked flawlessly for years on my Jag and MB.

I wish the lower lip of the front air dam were just a half-inch higher. Curb heights in Germany must be lower than curb heights in the U.S.

I wish BMW used higher quality carpet [thicker, more plush] in the '3'. Again, this is almost a $50,000 car folks, come on.

I wish that BMW would send me my freaking "The Hire" series DVD. Its been six months already for crying out loud!

I wish that the HVAC system would not hum along, blowing strong and then all of a sudden stop for a couple seconds [for no apparent reason] and then start right up again at full blast. What is that all about? Is this the car’s equivalent of telling me, "Psyche, gottcha!"?

I wish that BMW had put enough power in the car so that it could, at the very least, keep up with the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Chevy Cobalt, most every V8 Ford, GMC, and Dodge truck and SUV, etc.

Mind you, I do not do street racing, but if they knew that I could smoke them then perhaps I wouldn't have every idiot in an '06 Accord [0-60 in 5.9 seconds according to R&T vs. 6.3 for the 330i] trying to race me at every light. It would also be nice to know for myself that if I did decide to race them I at least wouldn’t be embarrassed.
