It's a lot easier to modify the VO with the appropriate VO options (like removing L7 and replacing HiFi) and default code the modules. There's usually many different lines to modify if you try to do it manually. Plus by modifying the VO, the changes are persistent even if the module is reprogrammed and recoded. |

Nothing can go wrong. Besides like I originally said....if your VO is accurate to the options you want and the hardware present, the car will setup the empty ECU. Only one that is risky with is CAS and DME.

I copied this from another post. 1. Load NCSExpert. 2. Load Profile and select Expertmode 3. F1 (VIN/ZCS/FA) 4. F3 (ZCS/FA f .ECU) 5. Choose E89 (for the E9X) 6. Select CAS 7. F6 (BACK) 8. F4 (Process ECU) 9. Select the Module I want to Revert back to Stock. 10. F2->Choose "SG_Codieren->ok 11. F3->to start coding the ecu with factory settings according to the vehicle VO. |

Guys, I've already tested all of your suggestions.
Please, no offence to anyone but I know how to code Coding the HU to Hifi is not the problem. The problem is that I still get a loud GONG/Voice CTRL even with radio in HIFI mode. (I know it is in HIFI cauze I get a significant drop in sound + hidden menu in the HU) I'm not the only one with this problem. Many faces the same weird issue. I've looked into several forums. No one has found a solution yet. So the way we are coding the car is not the prob. Prob is more about options to enable/disable/set or prob of incompatibility. I just try almost everything without success. I give up for now ... |

Now OP, without being rude, I give you two hints; 1- Set your gains right If problem persist, then 2- Code the gongs to come out of speedmeter than speakers. Done on many cars with gladen kits. Don't ask how! Good luck.
