Armaspeed Carbon fiber CAI system DIY install - Easy upgrade!

Here we go into a fantastic start for 2022 and new projects for the BMW F8X! That is the M2C, M3 and M4, and the gorgeous carbon fiber cold air system from Armaspeed Intl.!

The carbon fiber alone is just gorgeous and matches the OEM strut bar perfectly!

Changing your airbox though should do several things: Improve performance, change the look and often change your engine sound as well. This upgrade definitely adds some more obvious turbo intake sound on pulls as well.

Armaspeed tested out their CAI showing an increase of 29rwp and 17nm torque with this upgrade, showing power increases across the band.

The install itself isn't hard and only a few simple tools, but I wanted to share the walkthrough so you can easily do it too.

Check it out, and see how this could work in your F8X as well!

Tommy L garage did the install on a friends m2c and really liked the fit and finish etc. And will also give him credit for installing the Turner motorsport rear shifter bushing which for $84 which i think was a big improvement over stock and will hold me over until oi one day do the auto solutions shifter.

I got a chance to get hands on with Tommy's car briefly at the Kies Auto Show this last summer. That bushing does make a huge difference and I did a DIY for the install. 8)
