Tires for Drifting
Hey all,
So as I mentioned in a previous post on my profile, my 2017 M2's diff is essentially shot. So with that in mind, have heard from a trusted authority that this is a reasonable time to take it to a skidpad / drift day since this was something I wanted to do anyway (before replacing the diff). As far as this goes, I was thinking about this place: http://www.bayareadrifting.com/registration/packages Lmk if any opinions but I need to get a new set of tires - my sizings are 255 / 30 / 20 and 275 / 30 / 20 in the back. Have PS4S in the front and some [] Continentals in the back (long story). Thinking of whether I should just get new set of PS4S and have that as my regular road tire? Or does it make sense to just get two PS4S for the drift / track days to replace the Contis in back and get another set of two Contis (or another recommended tire?) for just commuting around? Would appreciate any opinions thanks! Last edited by lalaland7894; 06-19-2022 at 12:50 PM.. |

The PS4S is the furthest thing from a drift tire, even worn.

A good all season tire that doesn't delaminate would work and last longer than summer tires.
Drifters love Kenda KR20A’s since it's cheap and they can handle a lot of sessions but dont think they make them in 20s
