Dealership that will allow xfer of original 3/36 maint.
Does anyone know of a SoCal dealership that will let you transfer the original 3 year/36K mile maintenance plan if you bought your car used? After some research I found that it's possible with a $100 xfer fee. However, I just called 2 dealerships and they said it couldn't be done. Thanks.

I just bought a 2020 M2C with 8k miles two weeks ago. I asked the finance guy about this and he said BMW doesnt do the transfer for M cars. Please let us know if you hear/find out otherwise.
I'd be happy to cancel my backend maintenance plan for just a $100 transfer. |

BMW of Mountain View (NorCal) did it for me on my m2c a month ago - they even waived the 100 fee since I bought the car from them.

I had a friend that got his $100 fee waived as well, but it's because the car was never originally put in the first owner's name, so with no name listed he became the first owner (to BMW). Weird, that. |

Yah came here to say you should report anyone denying this to BMW corporate. They themselves have said every dealership can do this transfer for 100 bucks.

Who'd you talk to? The service department keeps transferring me to finance and they say it's either not doable or a 700 dollar fee. BMW SF says it's 1900… I keep telling them it's 100 but they seem to either be unaware or playing dumb

Update: I just reconnected with Blaine at Newbold BMW this morning (VisualEcho's connection). Really cool guy. He was able to transfer the service plan for me in under 15 minutes. Everything was done through Docusign and payment was taken over the phone.
I asked him if it was ok if I referred some SoCal people to him and he said that's fine. He did say email was the best way to connect. I don't really want to post his email on a public forum, but if you'd like his info, please PM me and I'll send it to you. |
