The camera is powered by the lap timer which is powered by the obd2 cable.

The cables you can choose are:
CAN/K-Line/External power cable with OBDII connector
CAN/RS232 external power cable
RPM/External power cable (if your vehicle has no ECU)

Here is what it can monitor so it looks like I'll get the obd2 connection solo 2 and smarty cam with the 4 meter cable. Also, aim said they've never tried a 21 m2 but they are 99% positive it will work.

https://www.aim-sportline.com/downlo...cu_103_eng.pdf
You might want to confirm that...
To the best of my knowledge ODB2 is data comms only, not power.

OBD will power the Solo as well.

8deg will be OK without rubbing. It starts rubbing around 8.2deg IIRC.
How does one adjust caster? Or is this with a particular camber plate.

For the Solo, if you want some ECU data you need to get it from the canbus as the OBD has some kind of lock on it.

Search for the Aaron gauge instal or solo install and it should tell you how.

If not PM me and I can explain it.

Scratch that I spoke with Schroth and it looks like I didnt do my research. The 4 point works with a rollcage or harness bar but the 21 m2C doesnt have a factory adjustable headrest so in an accident the shoulder belts would peel right off you and you'd probably die :|

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it doesnt matter if they are able to mount it to the seat or not.

I will be ordering race seats and upgrading my 4 point to a 5 or 6 point

It's in! Competition Motorsports roll bar and seat delete was not a perfect fit on the 21 m2C. The shop had to modify it some to get it together.

I have SPL front tension rod (caster), LCa and tie rods. No caster adjustment in my top plate.
Ordered some nitron r3 now and I think they have caster adjustment from the plate though, not sure.

I'm looking at picking up some race seats since I can't run the 4 point I have with factory seats. I think I've settled on the Sparco Evo XL unless someone says they're junk.

I'm also looking at the easiest way to install them so I'm looking at turn key seat mounts like this?

https://machtschnell.com/macht-schne...eat-mount.html

Thoughts?

Yeah this is the easiest way to install seats. I have the other kit which is a separate floor mount, separate bracket for 4 pt and separate submarine point bracket. I use stock Recaro sliders on it, works fine.

Do you have specific info where it was not fitting properly?
I've used their products before and was leaning that way again.

I don't. Just that my shop said there was some modifications that needed to be made to align properly. I think that was more on the seat delete than anything else. It's nothing that would stop me from getting it. If you drive this to and from events the square bar in the rear and the ability to see out the back window unobstructed is worth whatever additional install time would be.

I would avoid those mounts if you can. I went this route originally and found the fitment left a lot to be desired—seat far from centered and just a general pain to install. I have the Brey Krause direct to floor mounts and they're far easier and lighter. The only compromises I've found are they're not adjustable and sit very low. The adjustability hasn't been an issue as I just set the passenger kind of the middle and haven't had complaints from even people who are tall with a helmet on.

Thanks this is what I was hoping for. Which specific ones did you go for?

I have these direct-to-floor mounts. Note that there are 3 widths and you need to know the width of the seats you're putting in. If using 5/6 point harnesses, you'll likely want the sub-strap bar.

perfect - ty. I will be running 4 points at first because thats what I bought with my current set up and couldnt use with the seats I have.

I just found that the m2c has trouble fitting a sparco evo xl so I'll probably have to go with a OMP HTE-R XL

Has anyone thought about running the new Continental ExtremeContact Force—the new 200TW tire that was developed with Hoosier after their acquisition? I'm very curious about this tire from a track-day perspective and there seems to be a dearth of reviews.

Just looked at these too but ended up going with the Yoko A052 for the more track orientated car (M2C) on 18s and Goodyear Supercar 3 for the street orientated car (supercharged E90 M3) on 19s. On the track is sounds like they are close to the yoko in the dry but lag in the wet. On the street it sounds like they are rougher & noisier than the others.

Definitely let us know how you like them if you try them - on a dry track they definitely look intriguing.

I thought about trying to get these, but they don't have the sizes I want yet for my 18's.

The Forces seem like very different tires than A052. More of an endurance tire like RS4, than a fast lap tire like the A052.

I'm interested in them as something that can withstand a lot more heat cycles than the A052s do.

I've used RS4 several times and agree re their enduro nature.
Definitely easy on the wallet if not chasing lowest lap times.

How much quicker do the A052s heat cycle out than the RS4s?
I was considering them once I get off these big OE brakes and onto some 18" track wheels.

A052s were fast for me the first two track days, then the 3rd started to fall off pretty heavily towards the end of the day. The 4th day they were gone. I'd get 1-2 laps of ok grip followed by really poor grip that couldn't be recovered by taking it easy for a few laps. I'm talking like 6+ sec down from the first two laps on a ~2min course.

FWIW, the RS4s lasted me 14 track days on my F31 (even heavier car), before I tossed them. A052s on the same car once again were fast for two track days, and noticeably started to fall off on the third.

The A052s don't have that great of a heat tolerance.
