Ronald has refined the formula of his bushings over the past few years
I checked with Ronald, the 80A he is currently selling was formerly called the 80A+, he just changed the name back to 80A.

Just installed the UCP and AS SSK. Did a brief review for others.

Inquired with Ronald this week, was told he won’t be delivering until November/December due to switching shops. Bummer.

I'd say get on the waiting list regardless. Someone might back out in that time frame or Ron might have an extra run. Either way, November and December isn't very far away.

Any idea if adding this SSK would void warranty on the power train, specifically crank hub failure?

I would think not, but it depends on your SA and what mood the BMW NA people are in when they look at your car. I don't think anyone can say there is zero risk.

I've been converted. This is by far the best mod I'm enjoying, thanks to all of you here!
Outstanding work by the Elite Performance shop if you are in the Bay Area.

Are most people getting the additional bushing as well? Does just going with the SSK, tighten the shift up also, or just shorten it?

I got the bushings also. The bushing would help to firm up the shifts further but if you did without them I assume the shifts would still be tighter than stock, just not AS tight as with upgraded bushings. For the price of the bushings, I wouldn't even sweat it.

Get the bushing. Totally worth the price doing it right the first time.

It completely removed the rubbery feeling of the stock shifter

For all those that did the bushing change do you recommend the 95 bushing hardness or the 80?

I can't comment on the 95 bushing. I have the 80A. It increases vibration over stock slightly, but no noise. I could handle a little more vibration, but it would be a deal breaker if I could hear it rattle while at traffic lights.

My neighbor and I received our Autosolutions shifters from Ronald on Thursday. We originally planned on spending the weekend installing them on both cars. However, after experiencing the installation time/headache on his E46, caused by the tight clearances under the car, I decided to forego my installation.

If I had access to a full blown lift, I'd take it on. But we only have Quickjacks, making the install much more difficult than it otherwise could be.

So now I'm thinking of reaching out to a couple of local shops this week to get price estimates for a professional install. Autosolutions instructions state that a shop should be estimating 2-3 hours, which sounds insane when I think about how much longer it took us to do it on his car.

Anyway, I'm just curious how many hours other shops may have quoted people, before I start making some calls.

I believe I was charged $250 for the install.

Thanks! If it ends up being around that much, it'll be an absolute steal when I consider the hours of my life saved.

I had the shift kit installed by a local shop yesterday. Man, what a night and day difference. I love it!

It really is quite dramatic, isn't it This is probably the single most noticeable upgrade I've done to the car (in terms of one single thing).
