Anyone know the best place to find silver G025 rays with tires? Having a hard time finding anything but black.

Preferably buy with tires mounted.

I ordered mine in June of 2021 and they are scheduled to arrive next month. Good luck finding them in stock somewhere.

Or skip US distributors and go straight to the source. I used JesseStreeter.com for mine, he buys direct from Rays and air shipped to me.

Note: Rays only manufactures one model wheel at a time - so they only make G025's like, two or three times a year. So when I ordered it took 3 months until it was time to make ZE40's, then about 3 days to ship to my house.

Also just as a heads up, if you're in the US all wheels are distributed through Mackin. They have sole distributorship. So whenever you buy from a company, they order the wheels through Mackin.

Figured it was my time. Mine are scheduled to be built in September and arrive in November.

The gunmetal or ‘Matte Gunblack’ with silver lip. Going on BSM 17.

Took from then end of October until two weeks ago for these Shining Dark Metal G025s to get delivered. I haven't been able to find many pictures of this color online, so hopefully this helps some folks make a decision.

I also ordered through Vivid Racing. I initially ordered the Formula Silver finish, but got a call back the next day saying Volk removed that color from the G025 offering in our size and would need to pick a different color option.

Given the massive buying power of the USD to the YEN (you can go back to 1998!) are these JDM wheels becoming less expensive to order or is Mackin hedged USD/YEN and the cost is fixed? If so and there is no FX advantage to ordering from a US based company is there a good direct source from Japan?

Man. I kinda feel bad that you guys have to wait so long for your sets. I was lucky and found a set in the classifieds. Wait was 72 hours.

After waiting 11 months I FINALLY got an update from Vivid. Rears are in, but fronts are out another 3 months. The customer experience ordering these through Vivid Racing was terrible and it took 5-6 calls and lots of force before I was able to get them to call Mackin who told me what I already suspected.

I think something went sideways and I don’t have the full story but suffice to say I’m moving on. Caveat Emptor and to hell with using Vivid Racing for Rays wheels. They’re just really bad middle men.

Turns out the initial sales rep I had moved on so that’s part of the story. The good news is before I could pull the trigger on something else like BBS, Austin from Vivid reached out to let me know they’re here.

He made a generous goodwill offer and they’re headed my direction ahead of schedule.

These things are hard to source and pretty rare so I’m grateful for Vivid for making the transaction relatively easy. Yeah there was a hiccup but they made it right which says a lot.

Lesson learned, go straight to customer support and skip the sales reps when you need…. customer support. Crazy idea. Once I did my experience got much better and Austin who I worked with to close it out was great.

I’ll get some decent pics once they’re in and mounted.
