Would someone know of a shop in Europe (ideally in EU) which would be able to clone my DME? I have bought a DME from N55 M2 and need to make it work in my M2C year 2020 (for obvious reasons). I have the ISN from FEM module. Any contacts appreciated.

You should use a DME hardware meant for the 06/2018 S55 and newer.

What are the obvious reasons?

Obvious reasons: get an unlocked DME to tune it. However my tuner was not able to get the S55 one, but he claims the hardware is the same and he just needs to put in the s55 software and FEM ISN. Since he has never actually done this before, I am looking for a fallback strategy if he fails.

Almost all 2020 model year M2C were unlockable on bench. Are you sure you even need a spare DME? (that is why it wasn't obvious to me)

The N55 DME is a MEVD172G, however it is a different hardware number (both BMW and Bosch numbers) and were not installed on S55. Using an N55 DME is setting you up for many incompatibilities.

Unfortunately my DME is from July 2020 (one of the first with the new bootloader - call me a lucky one ) Bench unlock tried and failed.

I will let my tuner have a shot with that N55 DME, but would you have an idea where to get a better one? They really seem hard to get.

Enabled is the man... Answered a number of my questions and as soon as I decide which route I'm going, he'll be hearing from me on the cloned DME concept if that's the way I go. Sounds like it's the best option short of piggy back setups.

Got my cloned from Enabled as well. The only problem I had was the start/stop no longer working, but I didnt want it anyways.
car been running flawlessly and been running bm3 stage 1 for the last 3 months.

Looking for a bit of help here, I have a 2021 m2c and I've had the dme cloned and I'm experiencing problems with 02 sensors. Post cat 02 to be precise, it keeps blowing (had two replacements) anyway, tried another cloned dme and still the same problem. Any advice here would be massively appreciated.

Enabled Have any DME's left? Impossible to get in Australia. I'd be very keen. 21 M2C
