19" Front Tire Fitment

Options seem to be limited for 19" tires.

I want to run a 265/30 or 275/30 front tire with a 305/30 rear but the only options available seem to be:
Falken RT660 (horror stories)
Yokohama AD08R (old tech)

My other option would be to run this setup:
Goodyear Supercar 3R 265/35/19 and 305/30/19

Is this too aggressive for the front?

I am pretty sure the 265//35/19s will rub on the front.

Old tech. Great tire. Although not clear what you need these tires for. Also, not sure the sizes you want are going to fit.

Track tires. AD08R seem to have been out for a decade. Loved them years ago but tried A052 and I swear it's one of the best tires I've ever driven on. Too bad they don't have the right sizes yet.

What's your horror story with the RT660?

Not sure what you're looking for exactly, other than an ultra wide 200 TW tire, and in that regard, the AD08R (aging or not) in 275/30 & 295/30 is your solution. It's a very wide running tire, so forget the 305, and you're have to camber the hell out of the front to make the 275 work.

Your tire is the upcoming RE71RS...but it's unavailable at this point.

SportCup2 could work with a 295 and 265.

R888R might be cool.

Do you really need the 305 rear given that these are track oriented tires? (weight, cost, fitment etc.)

You could run the RT660 but with a 275/30 front and 305/30 rear. It has same overall diameter as OE size PSS.

Depending on front wheel fitment even a 265/30/19 MP4S will likely rub at full lock on the fender liner. At least it does for me at -2.5 front camber.

Wait for the Advan Neova AD09 coming out end of next year with 60 sizes. Completely new compound. Tread pattern is a hybrid of the 08R and the A052.

Dry grip and wet grip is obviously higher than the current 08R. A racing driver who tested the AD09 and the A052 at the same time said lateral G is very close to that from the A052

PSC2 are trash on the track. Yea, I guess 305 is a bit too much. RT660 continues to have issues. My friend's E36 did 5 laps a couple of weeks ago on the track and it had a crack on all four tires. Falken claims its only cosmetic and has no affect on safety or performance.... but I'm highly skeptical on the safety part.

Um, that's one of the best drive-to-and-from track tires you can get, especially in the wear department. Are you looking for a tire that wears out in one lap? Try the AR1.

Tread splice opened up?
