Exclamation M2C week old and ceramic coated by dealer what is this circle?

So I picked up my M2C in hockenheim silver last week on Monday after the dealer had it ceramic coated (entire car). I've driven it every day for the last week and half and have been EXTREMELY careful where I'm parking it and its garage kept any time I'm home so I've not been under any trees etc.

I never noticed this odd, off colored circled on the hood until last night when I was searching for possible rock chips I may have already gotten and at a specific angle of light, I can see this odd discoloration spot on the hood.

The circle looks to have a different hockenheim silver sheen than the rest of the car and lacks the "gold" pearl gloss that the rest of the hood has.

Could this be a spot of dripped ceramic coating that they didn't wipe off? Or what else could it? I sent pictures to the dealer demanding they address the problem, but have not heard anything back.

I attempted to use a quick spray detailer and micro fiber cloth to see if it changed the gloss/texture or appearance but it did absolutely nothing for it.

Any ideas?

The update is in line with this. The BMW dealer said about the same thing. They offered for me to drop the car off at the detailer/bodyshop when convenient to address it, no charge.

Small update, car has appointment on next Monday for the "paint correction."

We'll see if they can address it. I'll post an "after" photo for comparison.

All fixed up today! Took them about 15 minutes to polish/buff and re ceramic coat the hood. Body shop said a piece of dust got under the factory clear in that spot and they probably tried quickly buffing it before delivery but scuffed it slightly instead. Sounds about right because the spot had a different texture/feel.

So glad it's resolved and the dealer took care of it. Very happy.
