Same for me. No confirmation on pricing yet. This is really killing me. I just want to calculate my ED so I know my budget

$83-85k brings in a lot of other interesting options to consider.

Wonder if they will move anywhere near list price? If the M3/4 CS is any indication the answer is no.

Will be interesting to watch as I am not a buyer of a $8ok + 2 series.....

For all those who feel BMW is being unreasonable by pricing the M2 CS around 85k, just remember that's roughly what fully-equipped "base" M4 goes for..

What one man's budget is another guys starting price.

Like I predicted; the CS will be sold out before they hit these shores..

I agree with Poochie. I don't think the $83.6K price is too unreasonable. A lot less than the $137K 992 911 Carrera S that I built. I need an automatic so the GT4 is out. Plus I'm not really one for used cars. The 718 GTS seems underpowered.

Based on early US allocation projections, and assuming a 50% 6MT take rate, you’re looking at potentially less than 200 manual transmission M2 CS in the entire country. Those will all be pre-sold and won’t ‘sit’ anywhere but in owners’ garages.

The M3/4 CS has the wrong transmission and much higher production numbers.

Very happy to see BMW build an exclusive enthusiast machine again, even if it is not long for this world. It is a nice break from crossovers and EV’s that have great 1/4 mile times but make me sleepy. As much as I’ve enjoyed reading the dismissive posts on here for the past few days, I think I’ll have to be very discreet when I take delivery of my CS. Hopefully find some positivity at car shows, etc.

Yes, those mentioned numbers of 300-450 units to the US would be crazy. The bmw honcho interviewed in the bmwblog podcast mentioned it will be available in all markets. That doesn't leave a lot of cars to go around. The fewer the better to help mitigate previous pricing issues. If they sell out and everyone "overpays", then who cares.

If the M2 CS follows the same timeline as the M3 CS, then we should find out pricing in the next week.

Reveal early Nov, public reveal at LA, and pricing released Nov 30. Maybe Friday the 29th.

Just going to put in another perspective, the slow selling M4cs needed a big discount to move units (...from personal experience). You can actually pick up an M4cs for not much more than the MSRP of the M2cs if you can't get on the list for the M2cs, just throwing it out there.

Yea but those are DCT auto only, so they can keep them as showroom ornaments..

My manual will be driven about 5k annually.

Ha! Gotta hide the car from other forum members!

Maybe I'm thinking about this all wrong, but I'm stuck on the Cayman S vs Cayman GTS -> M2C vs M2CS analogy. Every other post is decrying the fact that the M2CS doesn't weigh 50% that of the M2C. Or that the M2CS doesn't come with a brand new S58 engine. Or that the M2CS doesn't do your dishes, walk your dog, and also buy flowers for your wife on your anniversary because you sure as s*** forget every year. Unless I'm wildly mistaken, the Cayman GTS has same engine, same weight, and only 15 hp more than the Cayman S, yeah? And if I remember correctly, my buddy who owns one got in trouble with his wife recently, so clearly that stupid Cayman GTS somehow forgot to order the flowers too... stupid car!

If I didn't already have an M2C, I would totally get the M2CS! Misano blue with gold wheels too!!!

(Unfortunately, I forgot the anniversary, and am prohibited from buying by the wife as a result.)

I believe it was already known due to limited available options, but the CS includes exec package and m performance package.

LOL. This is an interesting analogy.

I owned a 718GTS for a while, sold it very quickly. It was depressing to rev hard. I also owned an F80 ZCP. Loved the motor and manual, hated the size. I’m hopeful the CS is the happy medium. Mine will see lots of miles!

I also have allocation for a Spyder but hearing the new motor and lack of exclusivity make that less appealing for me. Plus, when I need my Porsche fix, I’d rather take my air cooled for a drive.

The way I see the CS isn’t as it compares to any other brand, but how it combines a bunch of desirable BMW ingredients in an obtainable package. I just see 450hp, manual, compact, straight 6, exclusive beautiful BMW...sold. IMO the modern GT3 Touring is like that on the Porsche side. It is what it is.

There is no reason I see to be negative about the car. It's a lot of money for some. For others it's not. The people who get it will enjoy every second of it. Can't wait until people start driving it and say how good it is.

As you mentioned, the M drivers package (what I think you meant by the M performance package) is very likely standard

However, I don't know if, technically, it will come with the executive package

It should come with some of the current executive package features such as

Adaptive LED headlights
Speed Limit Info

But probably not others such as

Wireless charging and WiFi hotspot
Heated steering wheel
