437M rubs on strut? What?

My M2 is completely stock with 437M rims and 245/35-19 tires. I removed my front wheel to test my winter wheels, but I see a bit of rubber marks on the strut. How is that even possible???

Shouldn't even come close. Are you sure you never fit it with larger tires?

Never. Even if I put rear wheels at front it wouldn't even touch right?

Rear wheel on the front will rub the strut

The M2 comes with staggered wheels. The rears are 19x10 ET40 and will most certainly rub without spacers. For perspective, I run 18x10 ET35 wheels for my track setup, and need 12mm spacers to just barely clear the front suspension. With ET40, you'd need probably 18mm spacers.

That is the only explanation I can think of. My car sat in my dealership for a really really long time before selling it to me, someone must've switched my wheels around not knowing it's staggered.
