M2 detailed with Siramik Glasscoat

Finally had a 'new car preparation' detail on the M2.

I used the same detailer I've known for years, he applied a special 'Siramik' coating that provides a 'wet look'.

Very pleased with the results

It can vary depending on the grade of coating you go for. Mine should last around 2-3 years. More extreme coatings will provide even more protection for a very long time but at a high cost.

Ask your nearest pro detailer what nano/polymer coatings they have available. These will cost considerably more than a wax, but it could be cost effective in the future. Any future scratches are likely to dig into coating (unless super deep) ... thus the cost of reapplying a coating vs panel respray begins to make sense.

Check out one of 'Nine Lives' recent posts, he has pics of his M2 with a similar detail.
