Making the m2c STEERING BETTER

Guys I owned m2cs but I listened to lot of reviews and thought should selle m2 cs and get m2c

My biggest complaint has been the steering which is so light and no feedback as opposed to the cs I owned. It feels like a different car

Any suggestions please to make the steering better and fun.thanks

Get the M2CS steering profile flashed on your car; it'll be identical to your CS. You can do this with either the THOR flasher or another BMW coder.

I bet the Cup2 tires have a lot to do with it as well. Interesting that its that heavy on the CS. Assuming you're using Sport+?

Change the tires to Cup2.

I'm pretty sure the CS has the same settings. I would also not use Thor, since their flasher was doing bad things occasionally and they seem to have ceased operating as a company.

I also find it interesting because I could have sworn that I saw several people report that the steering is lighter on the CS.

Yeah I've tried all settings on my OG and I found the CS to be the lightest but had the best feel... Maybe OP is referring to the accuracy rather than the weighting?

Get some camber plates and it will put everything else you have tried on the M2C and CS to shame

You can change the steering profiles with ESYS that is what I did.

I went to the M4 GTS profile as my 2019 M2C was on the F87 CS steering map as standard.

I believe the newer ECUs have another F87 CS profile but I have done no research on that.

GTS map made the steering heavier.

Also make sure you are in the same modes, your new car may be starting in comfort not sport.

As others have said tires make a huge difference in steering feel, especially if you are driving at the limit.

A good geometry setup also helps make the car handle better. Mine is pretty perfect after a custom alignment and tire choice. Good tire wear on track and an almost neutral chassis with a bit of oversteer to help the car turn into a corner.

Why? You pay 70-80% of the price for 95% of the car. Seems like a good deal to me.

I'm honestly shocked if there is any difference between the steering components in the M2C and M2CS. Are you sure it's not just the tires or suspension?

I have a Comp so no argument there. Just don't understand selling the CS to buy the Comp in a market where used examples with 10k miles are selling for MSRP.

That is very market dependent. They sold a boat load of M2/M2Cs in Germany and the 2nd hand prices reflect that on the EU market.
