Ohlins R&T coilovers 110% worth every penny. I feel connected to the road. The car feels more precise and predictable. Confidence inspiring.

I actually preferred the stock exhaust.
I would add the CS spoiler and CF diffuser. The back will look a 100% times better.

I added both to my order and I'm VERY happy with the results, even though the M Performance stuff is hideously expensive. But port-installed, on the Monroney, and superb quality.

They're worth it IMO, especially since they're in highly visible areas. I've had my MP spoiler on my E92 M3 since 2013 and it fits superbly, not to mention no yellowing or chipping.

As for mods, I think this car is absolutely wonderful out of the box. Luckily for me, the previous owner installed some MP CF parts, although I'll probably want to add a lip to balance that out. The best mod I've done yet is add a home made clutch stop (i.e. Furniture leg protector). It makes the pedal travel far more acceptable.

I have done few bimmercode updates, put Carbon exhaust tips and have ordered for Autosolutions SSK + M-performance shifter.

I will be doing M-performance Diffuser and the CS style spoiler (just for the looks)

Folks who put the stainless steel pedals (6spd), other than the cool look of it, is there any other benefit - like better grip etc.. I am planning to order that, but not sure whether there is anything other than looks that it offers.

I have the stainless pedals and have driven with/without. I found my foot would get caught on the rubber of the stock pedals, with the m-performance pedals my foot just slides on the clutch perfectly. I would say a very good driveability mod - partnered with the clutch stop pads, they are so good.

I've had my car for a bit more than a half a year with just about 20k miles on it. In order of mods if I were to do it again:

1. ASD delete
2. Good tires
3. Auto Solutions SSK
4. Tune

I've also done exhaust and am about to put on Ohlins on it so I'll get back if those are worth too. Switching from Super Sports to RE-71rs and to PS4S made a huge difference. Also prefer the notchiness of the manual now with the SSK.

Indeed good tires … totally not fan of the PSS

Once they are finished I'll replace by PS4s …. I'm not confident with the PSS

Thanks, so best tires recommended are PS4S? Can anyone chime in on if the steering or ride improved after getting rid of the PSS?

Same, not a fan of the PSS tires and never understood the rave.

I've a friend having a M3 F80 and he told me the difference is night and day ...

I'm putting 2,4 bar in each at the moment and I think they need to be warm to be efficient otherwise i'm feeling the back moving once the acceleration is huge ... quite disturbing for such a car

Thanks, I guess you are implying that the steering feel and ride improved.

That makes me think that the CS has cup 2 tires and that itself is helping the steering/ride to improve over the baseline M2C.

Good list... I was thinking I am spending bit unnecessary $$ on mods

Yes, I had the original MPSS tires and upgraded to the Cup2 240. It makes a huge difference in grip and road feel. I've had the MPS4S on my previous M235i. They are good comfortable quiet tires but they're not as sharp as the Cup2 by a long shot. SD has great weather with little rain so the Cup2 would be a great choice if you like the twisties.

My most worthwhile mods:

Short shift kit by far + clutch pedal and cdv delete
Exhaust & ASD coding
PPF & ceramic

Have a bunch of carbon exterior goodies that have been sitting in boxes for a few months now. Probably the LEAST "worth it" because there's really no tangible gain. If anything they're more of an expensive liability... Plus I'm starting to appreciate the car's natural form more and more.

It's kind of like steak, I guess. Some people prefer mushrooms, onions, and a host of seasonings but I think I'm ok with a little s&p.

Thanks, I do like to drive when it's wet or rainy outside occasionally, especially if I end up commuting to work. So not sure if Cup2 will be a good option for me. What's the next best tire after the Cup2 that can still be driven in wet conditions? Is it PS4S?

The Cup2 240 is supposed to be better in the wet than the previous Cup2 but the PS4S is definitely great in the wet along with being comfy and quiet.

Besides all the M-Performance pieces (lip, diffuser, mirrors, winglets, 763m wheels) that absolutely transform the car's looks.... I'd say my favorite upgrade was the Remus Racing Exhaust.

The improvement in sound and presence is substantial and I couldn't be happier with the results. It just completes the package IMO. It sounds the way I would have wanted this thing to come out of from the factory.

Do you all consider window tints and ceramic coats as "mods"?

I feel the two cosmetic mods I did were totally worth it:

1. Stainless M Performance Pedal Covers
2. XPEL front bumper kit

I love the look of the pedals. They stand out as soon as the door is opened. Every friend and family member who has seen the car has commented on the pedals, most of them thinking they were factory installed. They look sporty and match the dead pedal.

The PPF is more a peace of mind thing. I feel like I have a piece of armor there and am not constantly worried about getting sandblasted when I occasionally drive on the highway. In general, I don't like seeing PPF. Just a personal OCD thing. I especially hate a hood or roof that is partly covered with a visible straight line seam. That said, the M2C front bumper PPF kit has minimal visible seams, and is difficult even for me to tell it is on.
