once i get through break-in, i'll be teaching my kids to drive MT on this car...and it's just not realistic as compared to MT's of yore. i just need to find more time to drive it!

I am at ~1400 something and haven't noticed a difference. It's got a nice snicketiness to it. Definitely nowhere near as slick as my FD2 CTR, but coming from a sloppy box (and really no one likes a sloppy box) Elantra Sport, the notchiness is reassuring, lol.

It’s not fair to compare Honda Type R shifters. I had an Integra Type R. Loved that car.

LMAO!! Yep just tortured my fingers again yesterday. It’s also so dang hard to get my hands through the tiny openings with so many spokes to get the inner rim clean. Looks like I’ll have to add it to my kids’ weekly chores list…

Coded out ASD (although I didn't mind it per say) a couple days ago and do think I prefer it without.
It's just the car now and not that Gran Tourismo-ey waah as you go through the gears. I need to spend more time giving it the beans, but so far so good. Also coded out start screen and the keep playing the audio thing. Why do I want Olivia Rodrigo... I mean AC/DC or the The Clash, yes yes... still playing away after I've left the car? That seems a really odd one. Last edited by Capt Canuck; 07-30-2021 at 11:48 AM.. |

I was distressed the first time I shut the car off - music still blaring when the door is opened, wtf? Stays on until door is LOCKED? (I'm sure there's a time-out soon if you don't lock it, but still..). And quite relieved when I figured out I could code it to shut off when the door is popped, which is how my Golf behaves. Really odd decision with the default coding. And getting rid of the "lawyer screen" was a major win.

Just like popping the hood takes two attempts, one push of the start button to turn the engine off, a second push of the start button will turn the infotainment off. I actually kind of appreciate that as other cars that we have turn everything off in one press of the start/stop button and then two additional presses to turn the radio back on if you are waiting in the car. |

I dont want to repeat myself in every thread, but I think this car is so special even after 1.5 years of ownership. This week, I put on 1000 miles on my M2 in a couple of days going from DC to Boston and back as i took my daughter on some college visits. Besides constantly avoiding pot holes on the highways around NY/CT, I just had a blast just navigating the freeways and having fun playing tetris on the roads as I made my way through windy, congested roads, as well as wide open highways. The agility and power of the M2 just makes driving in such environments so much fun (even more so as you leave the tricked out honda tailgaters in the dust around NYC).
There was a few pot holes that emerged from nowhere that i swear I thought I bent my rims (Poochie - I dont know how you stay sane) but the M2 kept chugging along effortlessly. There were periods of no traffic on the NJTP or Mass tpk where I was literally trying hard to keep it under a 100 for an extended period of time. This car can pull ahead at any speed, and passing is virtually effortless. Just drop it down a gear or two and blast off! I swear, one day I will get in trouble with this car, but thanks to Waze I was ok. Added bonus, my 17yo daughter got to drive the M2 a lot and I caught her at some very high speeds to which she would say "I didnt realize it" or "its boring otherwise" LOL. But its true, the M2 begs to be driven at ALL times. You have to push her, stay ahead of the pack, play tetris on the road, pass at insane speeds. I shift my DCT 100% of the time ordinarily, and I did it 100% of the time even during this entire 1000 mile trip. I averaged 25mpg during this trip!!! I love driving this car, and the first thing I wanted to do the day after I returned from this trip - Drive the M2. I cant get enough. I will buy the G87. I will keep the F87. You cant take this car from me. |

Has any else had really high tire pressure after picking up their new M2C? I checked mine today and all four tires are at 50psi. That is before driving. It is 93 degrees outside but that is still very high.

Hadn't reset the TPM before that. Seems like they ship tires and wheels at max pressure and never adjusted similar to what I experienced. I was overly excited to receive mine. Not sure what your dealers excuse is. |

This has happened to many people. Dealers tend to over inflate, or not inflate properly, once they receive the car after shipping. Tires tend to be overinflated for shipping

I bought my LBB 6MT in June 2019 and put on 8k miles mostly with jaunts from Vegas to So-Cal It's never been in the rain yet and stays indoors most of the time because I baby it too much. Behind the wheel though, I rip on it and it takes it and asks for more. This car is so much fun to drive in sport+ and MDM mode. It's sideways all the time and I have force myself not to drive like a jerk because the car is just so sporty.
So far I installed a few parts, all from the parts counter. 763M rims, C/F winglets, front lip and exhaust diffuser along with the M Performance Exhaust. Oh! and the coil overs also which lowered it a bit. Handling was fantastic compared to my F-350, but I thought it would look cool. So prob about $20k in mods and I think I'm done. I can't remember if that includes the PPF and ceramic, and I don't want to think about it anymore. I considered trading it in last year for a CS, but I like this color and the CS doesn't have the arm rest. Fuck that! Hahah, jk, CS is dope, but I dig this color and the burbles. And even though I treat it like a cream puff that it is; the CS is ultra rare and I'd feel guilty if I hit a curb or tracked it like I'll do with this Comp eventually. My rundown The Good: All of it Cats hanging around the Valet/ride share area always compliment the shit out of the car like I had anything to do with it other then driving it. The Bad: Those same cats are always asking for rides to the strip club if I take the car home from the valet at night (I don't mess around with drinking and driving, so it's only been a few times). The Ugly: People love the burbles and that encourages me to act like I'm in the 'false neutral gang' and rev it up because chicks dig dudes that do that. Final conclusion: Here are some pics. The MP coil overs give it a real dope stance and the black 763M rims complete the look. I will never sell this car. I have two displays in my house dedicated to it. My wife has a X5M Comp that is way faster and cost twice as much, but this lil M2 Comp is a show stopper compared to her 617hp minivan. This car is amazing. Additionally, the crowd in this forum are pretty legit as well and very helpful and nice. I visit this forum more than any other.

I've only put on 60 miles because I left the dealer at 10PM but so far it's really fun. Very different from my focus RS.
