Dyno stock M2 comp Special edition

Okay folks so I put drop in filters in the car and ran my car on the dyno today. It was a mustang AWD dyno and the car put down 414 whp/ 517wtq I have about 1500 miles on the dash so threw it up immediatly after break in. Torque falls off but the hp holds till about 6,300 rpm. I had them stop around 6500 because no point in stressing the car for it to dump less power. This definitely surprised me. When hp is at peak power 414whp it's putting down 425wtq just drop in filters. Really happy with these numbers. I just purchased the Active Autowerks midpipe and will be installing then taking her back to the dyno to see what she does. Maybe bmw did add a lil more power in the run offs and kept quite about it not to hurt sales. Enjoy.

Did you do a dyno before the air filter swap? BMWs routinely put out a lot more power and torque than what's advertised.

Unfortunately I did not. Could not justify a paying a dyno run for drop ins however I will be dynoing my car again after the active autowerks midpipe probably next week ! Once it's installed.

It’s well known that bmw underrates their motors, really to absurd levels. I doubt the drop in filters did anything positive or negatively.

Exactly why I didn't do a before and after on the drop ins. This is just a baseline for future modifications like the aa midpipe and other goodies

Is that reading WHP or crank? I ask because it says SAE on the screen.

Try another dyno, it's overrating the torque by quite a bit. But I guess that makes owners happy

Mustang dyno. Not over rating the torque at all. That's peak torque.

M2C dynoes at around 400-410 and 410-430wtq consistently. That torque number is overinflated, brand of dyno isn't a factor

Nope that dyno reads low on many cars. Did a track hawk right after me read low. Porsche Panamera after that read spot on teetered low. Say what you want these are the numbers bro. Bone stock drop ins. Factory freak maybe. Don't blame the dyno when you don't know anything about that dyno lol. Preety sure I'm the first special run out to hit the dyno. So could be the car. 1st run was 410/471 2nd was 417/513 3rd run was 414/517. Plus that's peak torque. If you look at the hp peak 414 it's putting down 425wtq which is about perfect.

There is no way an M2c is making 117 ft lbs of torque over stock and at the wheels from nothing more than air filters. These numbers simply don't add up. Even if you look at a tuned M2c its hp and torque figures don't have that much of a margin. For instance, if a tuned M2c was making 513 ft lbs you would expect the hp to be somewhere around 500ish. The torque reading on that dyno is way off. Either they messed up somehow or the dyno needs to be recalibrated.
