That's what I'm saying, if you're 60lbs overweight, with three jiggling chins while you try to remove your battery to save 5 lbs, your really messing up.

There were several m2/m2c/m2cs/m2csr on summit point main circuit with BMWNCC. We took advantage on club racing weight and actually compared the weight difference between m2s.

Big surprise is m2cs is only 80lbs lighter than m2c. Both stock manual and about half tank gas.

3587lbs: DCT M2C
(no stock seats, Half cage, bucket seats, Apex ec-7 wheels, half tank gas)

3563lbs: Manual M2C
(everything stock, half tank gas)

3479lbs: Manual M2CS
(everything stock, half tank gas, no picture)

2845lbs: Manual 135i
(no interior, no stock seats, bucket seats, half cage, half tank gas)

I'm in the black m2c and documenting on/off track. Ins: @blackonblack_m2c.

Have successfully taken a little more than 200 lbs out of the car.

Antigravity battery
No rear seat
Recaro pole position seats (driver and passenger)
AP racing brakes (front only)
suveneer aluminum hood
AA Single mid pipe / remus exhaust

I also track at 1/2 tank of gas or less going out at full tank makes no sense to me.

Getting to the 300 lb + weight reduction isn't going to be cheap unfortunately. I'll be fully gutting behind the b pillar soon. Looking at carbon trunk and carbon fender options as well its just expensive as shit.

Check out the new apex wheels VS5RS 19s. I ordered a set, shaves around 25lbs in rotational mass over stock.

I would think that even if you don’t feel the difference your car components will. Brakes, engine, tires working less means a slighting better life expectancy haha

Feel free to suggest other ways to negate the increases and try to stay near 50/50...
Agree! Less unsprung weight and a lower ride height should be a good starting point to prep a M2C for a track setup.

I might take out the rear seats as a DIY, and also to replace the oem front seats with recaros then I will focus on upgrading the brakes and suspension

Then, I would save up for more weight reduction mods with getting a CS hood, AA EL midpipe + backbox, and a set of Apex wheels later

Any issues with the Intelligent Battery Sensor going with the lithium antigravity battery?

Coded meaning you have to register is properly or you mean you have to code it in expert mode, or normal mode using BimmerCode, etc.?

Means just registering it using BimmerCode or similar apps… have to switch it to Lithium option and input appropriate spec numbers of the battery (amp hrs etc) - very easy to do, just pick the right options … and don’t use the same charger for the batt as the one for stock! Need lithium charger

Got it, to my understanding there was no lithium option? I guess maybe during all the updates there is now?

Thanks!

There is no option for lithium battery.
I am using Liteblox without coding anything.

Before buying Liteblox battery I tried an M4 battery without IBS, it doesn't work, with LiteBlox I don't have any problems.

Hello, I am using the Antigravity 80Ah (H8) battery in my F87 M2C and have no issues with battery warnings. The reserve capacity is sufficient for infrequent use.

In conjunction with 18" forged wheels, AP front brakes, and a rear seat delete, the combined ~150 pound weight reduction transformed the responsiveness of the car. The difference in braking and acceleration are most obvious; the engine does not need much boost to accelerate briskly around town.

Was it a direct fit? I see that FCP Euro can get the batteries and they are running a sale right now. Unsure if it includes AG. Extra 10% through the 26th.

EDIT: looks like AG batteries not included. MAP items excluded.

I'm noticing more than one battery group and size being recommended for our cars. Is there a cross reference? H7 group 94R, H6 Group 48, H7 group 48.

What settings did you use to register the battery?

Hello, VT Motorworks ordered, installed, and coded the battery. I do not know what settings they used. Auto stop-start works as normal and there are no error messages related to the battery.

Hello, we used the H8 size. I believe the H7 could work, too. It is a dimensionally shorter case for the same battery internal components.
