Washed my car* for the first time in a month! After my 1000+ miles of bug and dirt collecting, it sure as heck needed.

I need to work on my wash 'system'. Back in my condo block I have to go out to wash. So went to a coin op - plan was hose down the car, fill up the two buckets, wash car, hose down car, towel dry... well... there is no hose setting weak enough to not blow the buckets away. Never actual thought about that before this morning, lol

I may need to try different coin op places where there 'spot free' rinse might be weak enough to fill it properly.

*Wheels? Ya another time thanks ;-)

If you get one of those buckets with a removable plastic grate then you can place the nozzle on top of it and hold the bucket from flying away. That's the way I do it.

Was inspired by an intercooler cover I saw for sale here but couldn’t justify the cost so I figure I’d try vinyl. Thoughts? Also gave her a bath and applied some sonax.

For purely cosmetics, vinyl is absolutely appropriate here.

I like it but for myself, I'm thinking just a plain piece of carbon fiber would look good in that spot.

I decided to adjust the headlights. I've had the car a little over a month now and have only been out at night a few times. Those few times made me realize how poorly the headlights were adjusted (aimed too low). I adjusted the left headlight two turns (clockwise) and the right side 1 turn. A test run last night resulted in much better visibility however, they are still too low for my comfort. I'll try another turn on the left and a 1/2 turn on the right before heading out tonight.

I am surprised no one does that.

My thing with carbon is, carbon is for lightweight and stiffness so adding carbon for looks just rubs me the wrong way since you basically added weight to the car for no reason

Nice! I fitted one about 3 weeks ago too. If doing yourself most def get a 3M rubber wheel and drill attachment to take off the adhessive. Worked SO WELL and didn't damage the car paint etc. Made adhessive removal only take about 5 to 10 minutes. The whole job from removal to application of new spoiler took about 40 minutes total.
Great tip re the 3M wheel. Started peeling by hand but my god it was taking for ever so swallowed the brave pill…

Needn't have worried! Lifted it straight up with light application and then used Autoglym tar remover to lift the residual adhesive. Quick polish and then surface cleaner and new spoiler straight on. Very pleased!!

Sold my 2021 M2C today. I'm temp driving a loaner 2013 twin turbo bmw 335is convertible. The m2c was was fun while it lasted. I chose to keep a C8 build allocation so decided to get out of the M2C and save as much money as I can before my C8 is built/delivered. Enjoy your M2s everyone! See yah on the flip side.

The 641's aren't light, but winter is winter. No idea when I'll actually put them on the car...it's not cold enough during the day yet.

Today:
I will be letting the foam cannon loose shortly. My poor baby is FILTHY.
I hope to pick up my 641s from a member next week. I was going to get em new if I did not find some in mint condition here. They are expensive for winters but we don’t really have much choices and putting tires on the stocks is about half of what the 641s cost so at the end of the day, the rims (and come with the tmps) are not even that bad.

I also actually love how they look, its a great looking wheel that shows of the bbk. And the best part of it is the open design makes em easy to clean and if you drive in the snow, less place for snow to get stuck on and cause imbalance.

I love my summers but I like these so much that kind of excited to switch to winters.

A mod I will probably never see but it does really make the engine bay look that much nicer. I also really have to clean the whole engine bay.

Is there a kit that you can pick up to get the M colors added to this cover?
