You get plenty of push believe me. I have gotten the rear squirrelie downshifting on the freeway at 60.

This is whp, which means the Carbahn tune adds about 120 whp to the stock Dyno numbers, that's a decent #

That person said they dyno'd 520tq. Carbahn stage 1 is much lower (I saw a sheet showing 460tq).

That's why I want actual numbers from this tune. Or be able to drive one to see how it feels lol

Could also be the difference between ACN91 and 93 octane

Relatively new to BMW's (2.5 years), I have read and reread these tuning threads. I have a MY 2020 M2C which shows a date of 8/19 on VIN plaque on the drivers door jam. Am I correct in assuming my car was built in August of 2019? And as such it has an earlier unlocked DME? If I read Carbahn's website correctly, I can load the tune via their tablet. And further assume I could reload the tune if the dealer performed an update and overwrote the original.

I need to contact Carbahn and ask these questions, but I thought I'd try here first.

Thanks. Contented

With the Carbahn tune, I find Sport+ unusable, and Sport very twitchy (especially 1-2 shift).

At the track, I HAVE to use Econ-- the throttle is simply too twitchy otherwise. I had a very experienced instructor who owns a M2C as well drive my car for a few laps, and that was his recommendation as well. He calls my car "The Little Monster" due to the additional power.

All jokes aside, why would anyone do this if the tune is unusable?

Can anyone chime in with DCT and if they experience the same issues?

I never said the tune was unusable-- just that you really want to use it in Econ. Which simply affects throttle metering. You're getting the same power as in any other mode.

Maybe this is only affecting me? Any other MT with Carbahn want to chime in?

If you look just one page back on this thread there is a very good review I posted from another user about the CarBahn Stage 1 tune and where I also answered this exact question. And my car is a manual. Reposting here:

I solved this by making M1 efficient mode and M2 Sport+ (You don’t get the twitchy throttle in efficient mode).

I am in M1 in stop and go and in town. M2 is selected for any freeway or back road driving.

That said I have learned how to control the take off even in Sport+ around town and now mostly just keep it there. I hope that helps.
