New interior option spotted at Geneva Motorshow
I was at the Geneva Motor show this past weekend, and noticed while looking at the Sunset Orange M2C on display there that some of its trim pieces were painted in it's exterior body color (SO in this case). Does anyone know if this will be a factory option in the future? Had never seen this as a factory option prior to the show.

I can see them doing led enhancements to the dash and doors like most other BMWs of late. I have the 530e as well as the M2C and I can change colors in the 530e dash and door highlights.

This blue was more subtle and match the 2 series trim. These orange highlights on the new M2C looks like they're trying very hard to appeal to the eBay audience.. |

It's not a regular option. This is an Individual car. Did you pay attention to the door sills? Did it say "Born in ///M Town" on them? So far, 9 cars were built like that. They got color matched interior trim highlights like you see. There are blue, silver and orange ones out there. However, two cars do not mention having the "Born in ///M Town" door sills.

Interesting about the individuval car though, that would make a bit more sense. Like most here, not really a fan of the body color trim pieces, just thought it was interesting to see on a factory car. |

IMO the current dash, inside doors, interior finishes are nothing to write home about. The standard interior is outdated and looks so blah blah. If retro means using left over parts from years of ago to reduce costs in order to put together a mediocre interior then BMW succeeded.
BMW really cheaped out on the M2/M2C interior and bits and pieces. At least provide customers a few more options to select from than just the plain executive package. The wireless charging unit is one of the opinions that suck the most and is a complete waste of money/space. I would prefer a drivers car with lots of different interior options, tech features, a simple sync button to control the climate control on both sides of the car. How much weight savings did removing that option help? |

It's called the Porsche 911 in any of its variants. If you want ultra-high quality and endless options, you gotta pay to play. That said, for a brand new car that costs $62K including destination, you can't really fault an M2C for what it is. At the end of the day the M2C is a tarted up 2-Series, lol. |

True. But Porsche being Porsche, offers you ENDLESS options to spend copious amounts of cash getting it exactly how you like it.
There's normal pricing, then there's Porsche Pricing. On another note, I'd MUCH rather get the F87 M2C now, than get the next-gen G87 M2.............which will be built in Mexico for the NA market, lol. |

The new one looks pretty good - not a huge fan of the new PDK stalk, but the rest of it is a nice refresh IMO/.
