It's a car. Many other cars exist. Some are much older. They didn't get that way through a one-off treatment, but by ongoing care by their owners.

So...

It doesn't seem worth it to me. The odds of you needing a clutch replacement while you are still in warranty are next to 0, as long as you aren't beating the shit out of it.

The other stuff, like oil, brakes, etc.. I'd rather do it myself anyway, because I know exactly how techs treat customer cars, and there is just no way in hell I would ever let that happen.

Ultimately, I would say no. It's not worth it unless you don't know how to do any of your own basic maintenance. In which case I would say you should just open Youtube and learn.

If it's renewable at the end of the 3 years for another $600, I say it's worth

Pure profit for BMW. You won’t need anything but oil changes, one brake flush, and some wiper blades in the first three years.

all depends on how you drive. I don't have it currently on my m2c bc I plan to swap in track pads but on my m235i that I tracked for a 3 year lease I was running on BMW supplied pads and rotors, and I had quite a few of those replaced. pretty much when the computer says replace them, they replace them.

my prior 335i I didn't track but I drove it not so gently and I also went through yearly pad changes (rotors every other pad change). I even had extended maintenance to 100k so I definitely got my money's worth there

I have been driving BMWs for over 50 years and have never had pads or rotors replaced in the first three years or 36,000 miles. And yes I have tracked many of my BMWs.

definitely an impressive feat, especially if tracking. I guess it depends on the tracks and driving style. this is not my experience at all. I had my first pad change at 10k miles on my m235i after only a couple of track days.

Have the dealer throw it in it only costs them about $300. They threw it in on my first M2 and my current M2 competition. Carl

I doubt it's worth it, but I extended the service to 5 years and the warranty to 8 years. Just a lil peace of mind if nothing else.

Might be worth it if you track the car and go through rotors quickly. Otherwise meh.

Depends on if your handy or not. It’s definetly a comfort to have if your not the type of person that can do the maintenance work yourself. If you live in a condo or the city, don’t have a garage etc... then yeah get it. It’s completely up to the individual and your lifestyle.

How much does it cost? I thought it was like $3500.

For me, not worth it. I don't drive a lot, an oil change would be done once a year and would cost ~$100 and an hour of my time, wipe blades are like $60 and on my previous car lasted 2-3 years, brake pads last me ~3 years I think.

If it's $600 for 3 years though then I guess it's worth it though for the brake pads.

It comes with roadside assistance too, I believe. But every time I need a tow before, I always forget I have coverage and end up paying out of pocket.
