I forgot to mention another big reason why I still turn DSC off in my M2C despite the much improved traction control system. It's the auto rev match. DSC off is the only way to turn it off. I like practicing my heel-toe technic even on the street so another important reason for me to keep the DSC off.

Bimmercode can turn off rev match if you want.

The option is not obvious though. It's the "don't need clutch in to start car" option.

Anyway, I wonder if the shorter wheel base noticeably helps with weight transfer under acceleration, and consequently putting the power down? Maybe that makes up for slightly narrower tires than m3/m4.

You should get rid of those annoying seatbelts while you at; I'm sure back in your day, only pussies were afraid of getting ejected from the windshield and ending up on the sidewalk..

I only did one run without launch control in Sport Plus with MDM on and this was the result. I did have traction issues that higher temps may resolve. I didn't run a 1/4 mile since I was on the street on a 65 mph road.

Most of the car mags use a 0-60 with 1 foot rollout, so the comparable 0-60 time would be 3.52 seconds.

How TF are you getting 3.75s 0-60? I didn't think that was possible with any of the N55/S55 M cars unless you had slicks on a hot day? How accurate is this? Not trying to discredit you buddy, just shocked/curious

Wish I had a better answer for you. It's pretty accurate from other user experiences.

I haven't had an opportunity to do it legally yet, so no unfortunately. I have run 11.8 @ 125 in my FBO and meth injected 135i and the M2C with BM3 stage 1 feels faster at the top end.

Doing well! Using CS+ right now mostly for the more linear throttle.

CS+ is amazing. Haven't tried any other map yet but what a difference compared to the stock tune.

I see in BM3 amongst many mapping options is the ability to choose when rev match is on or off in which modes.

I.e. on in eco and off in sport etc.

Lots of other DME settings too that aren't in normal coding like burble levels (agressiveness, rpm, speed, mode) and cold start settings etc.

Yes, BM3 allows turning the rev match on/off depending on the engine mode. However, they still couldn't figure out how to enable rev match when DSC is off. For example, let's say you enabled rev match in efficient, sport, sport+ via BM3. It only auto rev matches when DSC is full on or you are in MDM. As soon as you turn off the DSC fully, rev match is disabled (BM3 has no control over this). This is totally fine with me as I prefer heel toe and rev matching my self most of the time. However, when I'm chasing PB at the track, auto rev match definitely helps since it's perfect every single time. I opened a ticket in BM3 support for this enhancement request and they said they would look into it but nothing so far. It's been over a month and I don't think they care about this small detail.

Yeah never thought of that.

I prefer rev match off in sport +, suits me as I use sport+ for fun drives and just have MDM on all the time for a little slip.

Have you tried any other tunes from other vendors?

Stuck between BM3 and BPM right now and also don't know if I want to go full stage 1 yet.

No, I haven't. BM3 has a great UI with lots of customizations available. That was the main reason I chose it over BPM. CS or CS+ is about as aggressive as I want to. I don't think I would ever go beyond stage 1. BPM is a solid tuner and I really enjoy their posts and contribution to Bimmerpost and the BMW tuning community. I would say you can't go wrong with either.

I love stage 1. As many have already said, this is how BMW should've made the car!

Did anyone notice when lifting or giving small throttle inputs (when driving aggressively through turns for example) on the stock tune there were weird spikes and lags? Did the CS or CS+ eliminate that? Or can you still feel that
