Some shots from my 4 months of ownership. Sometimes still can’t believe I own one.

Awesome shots!!! Making me want the CF winglets…I’ve been so torn on them since owning the car. Sometimes, looks great and completes the side look / carries the theme to the side…others, I fear it can look gimmicky / just stuck on…but some good angles in these pics making them look proper. Happy you are enjoying!

Funny, I was having a very intensive debate inside my head on the very same topic over the black friday weekend. What made me opt out (for now at least...) is that the winglets are significantly taller from a side view than the end plates of the front wing, so doesn't look as homogenous as I initially thought. This is of course nitpicking at the nth degree...

Thank you!

When I first looked at the car I wasn't sure about the CF accessories but it didn't take long at all to say 'yeah this stuff makes sense with the CS'. The winglets really tie in with the CF splitter and the rear spoiler. Not to mention as you look at other special and performance-y cars several of them have similar treatment.

I took mine off at ~4k miles as I kept feeling that they were just too "gimmicky" for my taste.

I'd consider selling them to you or someone else. They've been PPFed since new and the PPF is showing some wear but underneath is perfect.

This is gonna be an unpopular opinion but I'd even remove my front splitter if I didn't have the underlying metal brackets to contend with. I may even tinker around and see if I can remove those cleanly, for a nice lip-free look all around.

Honestly, at near $5k I would rather bolt on a plastic one and put the CF one in storage. I was turning around in a driveway and thought for a second that I could scrape, but proceeded anyway. Sure enough, crunch... It's completely on the bottom and can't be seen unless you are under the car, but I know it's there. Its the only flaw on the car!

My buddy has a 992 GT3 and the front splitter is black plastic.

“Back to black” for the winter - absolutely loving the dual personality of the car now…and the brakes turn into eye candy, love it. Now I’m fired up for a box from IND to arrive, took advantage of some Black Friday sales, stay tuned!!

The black does look sick af. I was thinking of refinishing my frozen gold ones because the clear coat is peeling on one wheel. Was thinking between Apex wheel shades, motorsport gold, bronze or satin black. I also have the CCBs so trying to figure out what would look best on Alpine white

99% of cars, I wouldn’t feel this way…but something about keeping the major components of the CS looking stock is important me to. And this is coming from a guy who’s modded just about everything on all my cars, including my wife’s when she doesn’t even know haha. And the wheels are part of that CS special package that kept me leaning toward OE colors only. Just my two cents, but since the CS “upgrades” visible to the naked eye were somewhat subtle, I like sticking with them. Exhaust was the big one I struggled with, as I love those CS tips…but this thing needs to make more noise asap so I made an exception there

So, my gut would be gold or black - and as much as I love how special/unique the gold looks, I must admit black wheels on this car are perfect because of all the black CF bits…ties in incredibly well and looks SO much better in person vs pics where I think gold takes the cake. Only issue with black is keeping them clean if you don’t have CCB…but there are low dust pad options for sure.

I also have CCBs so no concern there. I'm leaning towards just doing a refinish on the gold. I get so many compliments on this set. If I did black, it would have to be satin. I'm not a big fan of gloss black. Black looks really good in person but in pictures it just loses some depth and outline

White on gold is much more unique than panda theme IMHO. Not to mention it shows the concavity of the wheels better.

Agree, white/gold is so sexy…my 06 STi had the same theme, at a time when it was one of the only cars sold in the US from the factory with gold wheels. Very polarizing at the time, and I loved every bit of it

I'm also thinking to possibly refinish them in the 827M bronze shade from the G8x CS series.. Decisions, decisions. Dropping the car off today to get it paint corrected and coated over the next few days

Side note: added a big brother to the collection. Say hello to the new daily

But I found myself losing considerable sleep over it and ultimately concluded that I'd end up seriously regretting it, as it's likely the most unique car I'll ever own. And just way too much fun to drive (whenever I get the chance).
