Rubbing on MCS Coils

Hi folks, not sure if this is the right sub-forum but, after an alignment and ride height adjustment on my new MCS coils I am still rubbing in the rear. I am running 275/35/r19 on +25 offset at -2.7 degrees of camber and .1 degrees of toe. I love the way that it drives but am afraid that it'll change too much if i raise the car by .3-.5 inches. Any advice? This is my "weekend" car that I take to the track and the canyons.

What wheel width in the rear? Are you rubbing on the inside of the fender well or the outside (fender lip)?

This is a wheel fitment issue pure and simple. I run a 295/35/18 on a 18x11 +44 without issue so you just need a properly fit set of wheels tires.

its an 18x9.5 +45 with a 20mm spacer, I switched to a 5mm spacer and the rubbing went away. But i have a track set 18x10 +25 with a 265/35/18 that i am afraid wont fit

265/35/18 on a 18x10 +25 will work great up front, but will potentially contact the fender in the rear. It’ll be really, really close. If it doesn’t, it’ll miss fitting by just 1-2m millimeters.

What is the fix for it? more camber or should i try to roll the fender?

A 11in wide rim +44 offset fits perfectly. That’s it. That’s the fix.

It sounds flippant, but hear me out. Your camber shouldn’t be set to X to get a wheel to fit. It should be set based on what the tire is telling you when you look at temps and wear.

Same goes for rolling fenders.

Don’t roll you fenders and add camber just to accommodate an improperly spec’d wheel. You’ve come this far. You’ve spent this much money… do it right.

If you’re absolutely married to the wheels, then yeah more negative camber and “pulling” the fenders may give you the clearance you need but I recommend playing around with https://www.willtheyfit.com/ to see how differences in width and offset effect clearances on the inside and outside.

Good luck with it.

Thats true, I think if i cannot get the +25 offset to fit i will try and go for a +33, since that is a confirmed fitment a 18x10 wheel. I am pretty adament on running a square set up since i am not a fan of the understeer characteristics, when running a staggered set up.
