Took mine 14 days to build but started 1 week early!

My week 38 "should" be done this Friday, so October 17 does sound pretty early for week 43. Given other buyers timing on the spread sheet I'm guessing I'll get my M2 sometime in the 2nd half of October.

Late to update but finally got an allocation thanks to MTHRAR. Production # given and expected Week 45 build.

Christmas came early for me

Thanks to this community and helping out!

I am looking to get the MY 2018 M2. Should I go to the dealership in a month or two to start the order process or should I go to them mid-to-late next year?

I am not sure how long the wait will be (including the wait time on the list -- if it exists at the dealership).

Id say you're fine waiting a bit, hype will be dead by then and easy to get.

So maybe I could assume that it could be a sooner build but also a delayed build?

Put your deposit down now. There are premier dealerships with a waitlist 20+ long, those people will probably get a MY18.

Anybody ever determine how many production numbers were released for Oct/Nov/Dec?

I'm planning to call the GM soon to ask how many allocations he got for the remaining of the year. I'm #4 on the waiting list to get one so hopefully things are moving along.

The general answer is the same amount as last quarter, which I think was somewhere just over 500 nationwide. It seems most of the high-volume dealers got the same number of allocations as last month, and some smaller dealers were hit or miss. For the dealership where I'm in line and the other very lucky ones, five was the magic number, just like it was for them last quarter.

I have not seen anyone give out an official number, but it definitely was not the originally predicted 97 that got everyone freaking out for a few days (including me!!!).

I couldn't get a hold of the GM so I spoke with my sales guy instead and he told me they haven't gotten any allocations yet. Apparently some dealerships don't get them for Q4? Also I would like to mention I've been informed that BMW treats both our local dealerships as one store and they both receive the same amount of allocations. My other local dealer has one allocation open as of now but is charging over 5k MSRP. I'm now thinking if they don't sell their allocation (since no one likes to pay over sticker) then it could affect my main dealership not getting anymore? So they would have to sell the current open allocation so that they can receive the Q4 batch of allocations?

Over 97 but less than last round. I have not counted what came out in the second round that happened after the first round. There are many dealers that did not get their calendar year count that they were told to expect.

When I got the allocation last week my CA said it was for a Dec build. I called the BMW geniuses and gave them my number, they said that number was scheduled to be built Oct 30th. Holy crap!

I just got a new allocation from my dealer last week! CA followed up with the build number the next day. The dealer one of the larger ones in Chicago.

What week build did BMW Genius give you? I was originally scheduled around the same time (Week 45) but when I followed up they didn't have a production date scheduled.
