F80 Seat placement in M2 - Elektronics
Hi all,
I had the chance to place a pair of F80 M3 seats from a friend in my OG M2. My M2 is equiped with memory and heated seats. Also, the seats of the M3 have memory and heating. In comparison with my M2 seats, the M3 seats have at driver side a big grey control unit under the seat, while the passenger seat only have a small black control unit with 3 connectors in in. My OG M2 seats both have a big, grey control unit. I just swapped the seats and connected like it should. Everything works at drivers side, memory, electrical part and heating. At passenger side, the electrical part works fine, but no heating. The seats are a straight swap out of the M3 where everything functioned as expected. Is there anything I miss, anything to code? I also tried to connect my big grey control unit of my passenger seat on this, still... all works except the heating. Thank you for your input and help. |

Well, if you kept the existing modules from your car and retrofitted them them to the new seats, the car shouldn't notice a difference.
A separate issue would be that you won't be able to use the rear seat at all if you fitted F80 seats to an M2. |

Can you put the passenger seat into the drivers location to rule out the heating coil works on the passenger seat?
