It only needs to be in the "ON" position (push twice on ignition). The engine does not need to be running.

The consensus is to use iTunes/iCloud to backup. I'm not aware of a standalone option to export the backup file, although this would be ideal.

Just coded for the first time, pretty straight forward great app and great connection with the adapter.

Couple questions, where is the setting located to turn the one touch turn signals to 5 blinks? I also coded to have the legal disclaimer off, but it's still on...any reason why? Thanks!

Indicator setting shown in pic. As for disclaimer, I'd suggest going back to check the setting and make sure the value reads as not active; recode. Try another change in the same module and see if that works.

Thanks! Got the disclaimer to work this morning. But for the indicators, I only have two options the unlock and lock, not the cycles one...

Any reason? I have a '17 M2.

Just coded the easy seat entry for both the driver and passenger, works perfect and really easy to do!

I've coded everything I wanted except changing the turn signal blinks to a higher count if there's a way to do that in expert mode that'd be awesome?

Today the coding of stopping the radio when car door opens didn't work. I'm not sure if this is because I was connected to Carplay via BT? I would have thought the coding would override.

PS-I have vGate unplugged, if that is any help (all my preferences were set)

Should always work if door is opened after pressing the stop button.

yeah, if you open the door before you stop the car, things stay on until you lock the car...at least that's how it works with my car after coding

I have a 2017 330e and I’m having some trouble. When I try to access the head unit the little dot next to the Headunit that is usually green is grayed out. When I click on it I get “no coding data”. Any ideas?

It's previously mentioned here that the seat belt warning sound can be changed to another tone. Can somebody describe how to do that? Is that an option within BimmerCode, and if so, how do I find it? Or does it just exist in the regular idrive menu?

Looks like I need to try to do my own coding on my 2016 M4 with this little adapter and app. About to order my adapter from amazon. It looks like the v2 is the one everyone recommends.
