Folding mirrors are currently working on M235i cars, but not M2. Stephan is looking into it. There seems to be one option that isn't accounted for in BimmerCode yet, which affects M2 as well as the M3/M4. It's the first line:

I suspect this will be resolved in the next update.

+1 on product satisfaction- just coded ASD off and deleted the startup legal disclaimer. Nice product, easy to use!

Not sure if the developer checks this forum or not but it would be good to know if things like mdm can be coded with this app in the future. Perhaps there are limitations to what this can do vs the traditional way of coding but I would hate to have to code the car twice using different methods in order to accomplish what I want.
I should have my icar2 shortly...I look forward to using it!

You can email him directly from within the app to ask. He's pretty responsive.

Anyone know if BimmerCode can disable the seatbelt warning chime?

I asked the developer and he said "no, not at this time." I am hoping this will be added soon.

I've purchased and successfully used this app. Of note, I'm using the Vgate iCar 3 (not 2) WiFi version and it hooks up and works just fine without any compatibility issues.

Great app and some hidden gems in "Expert Mode" such as being able to change the trigger point for the 2 stage low fuel warning.

Looking forward to accessing the seat belt module if/when Stephan gets into it.

If he can crack the instrument backlighting he will be a God.

No mirror folding and no seat belt warning are deal killers for me. I was already on the fence because it doesn't code the X6. I will probably just sit back and wait to see how this thing develops.

Hmmmm, no seat belt or mirror folding...

Then what happens if I had already coded that in the car with ESys? Does that remain the same way and Bimmercode would just tweak around the options it does have access to?

I bought the app and spoke to the developer too. As mentioned, he's working on the mirror issue. I think the more requests he gets for certain functions the more likely he is to implement them. So even if you haven't purchased the app, contact him and ask for the functionality that will get you to fork over your cash.

On another note... Anyone find anything interesting in expert mode? I managed to change the fuel reserve warning from 9 liters to 6. Couldn't stand the warning coming on at 1/4 tank...

I've been working with Stephan on a preset to code off the amber corners outside of Expert Mode. This should be coming out in the next release in about a week. Great guy and very responsive.

Yes, I did similar - post #55 above. I'm using 60km and 30km for my warnings instead of 90km and 50km as per OEM settings on metric cars.

Something else I'd like but think would be very unlikely: I reckon the iDrive wheel works backwards on the map zooming. I think clockwise should zoom in and counterclockwise zoom out. BMW set it up the opposite way. Would be nice to be able to switch it.

So I just downloaded the BimmerCode app. That was free, where is the app that is $29.99? and what is the difference? So now I just need the VGate wifi icar2 connector to try coding my car? Is the wifi better than the bluetooth?

You can't actually code anything until you unlock the coding via a $29.99 in app purchase.

AHH, ok. So it is in the app itself?

EDIT: Found it.

Thank you! I thought I was the odd ball one here. I am surprised they don't have an auto zoom function based on your speed (like the ones in our smartphones).

This does nothing on a U.S. spec car.

The iDrive 5 version does. I use it, it's great and the implementation beats the smartphone equiv, IMHO.
