Fiinnnnaaaaalllly here - and a few thoughts/

First off, massive thanks to everyone on this forum. Over the last 5 months, i've been practically glued to this site and i've been blown away by how passionate and helpful people are.

So, i finally took delivery of my M2C yesterday and there were 3 things in particular i wanted to play back;

For the EU/UK buyers;
- i went for the blue brakes, not because of the brake shortage delays, but on the basis that the bigger brakes were adding significant weight and if i ever track the car, i will need to change the fluids and pads anyway. So, are the standard brakes any good? - in short, yes. I'm not 10,000 miles but IMO, they feel excellent and i do not regret the decision.

- Exhaust: Highly controversial topic but again, IMO, the car sounds great - you know you are driving an M car in Sport or Sport + - end of.

- HS: I had never seen this in the flesh until i picked up the car. I was optimistic about the colour from the pics online but honestly, i was blown away by how great the colour is. Super happy.

Lastly, anyone considering the M Perf wheel in Alcantara, do it. I'm so glad i had it, makes the world of difference and it feels fantastic.

Great looking car. Question about the M performance wheel: do you have to order it outside of the normal ordering process? Does it vary by region? I didn't see an option for it when I was creating my build (USA). Very tempted by that steering wheel.

Thanks. Yep, it wasn’t an option on the configurator. It’s actually the same M Perf wheel that’s available on the old M2, current M3/4 so you shouldn’t have any issues getting hold of one. If you shop around, you might even get a deal

Being on this forum is like being in the seat of your M2C. But, instead of watching as the fuel gauge falls real time (like the tank is so small and the car drinks so much gas, you can literally see it actually dropping real time), you're watching as the numbers in your bank account fall real time.

I gotta have that wheel now!

Doubtful, all the different steering wheels for the M235i disabled the heating. That's a deal breaker for me, I like having toasty fingers.

Nope, you will lose the heating. Everything else (inc lane departure) will work. Not a problem for UK buyers as we didn't have heating in the exec package.

Blue brakes will turn green after they get hot but they are more than adequate for track duty.

Congrats and I 100% agree on the wheel! I got the same one for my M2 OG and it makes a huge difference in look and feel. At the end of the day, the steering wheel is the one thing that you will spend most of your time as a driver interacting with, so it's well worth the investment to get something a bit special.

I think it looks great. My only concern is people complaining about how the alcantara can look quite worn fairly quickly.

As will any alcantara. That said, a good clean every now and then will maintain it. Hey, if you're buying a car like this, you should be taking good care and cleaning it regularly anyway I just take a micro fibre cloth, toothbrush and some fabric cleaner/water to it and its as good as new.
