Guys, I reached to Raven and she moved my delivery from 9/6 to 9/25. It's worth a try and it keeps our hopes up.

Be careful people,

There seems to be a huge surge of cases globally as the second wave hits.
Don't want to jeopardize your health just for the sake of doing the last EDs

Not worried about it. I'm more worried about going and then getting stuck in a shutdown.

Just received confirmation today that my pickup has been rescheduled from 8/31 to 9/26, 10:10am. I will keep that appointment through August and look at doing PCD in SEP if travel restrictions are still in place.

It's interesting as I thought 9/25 was the last date?

What time are you at?

I think f87kevin is 9:50 a.m. marshall834 is 10:10. I am 4:20 p.m.

This could be mad! The Germans were striking en masse this weekend to open up. This could mean a covid shutdown post strike-spread, or relaxing of rules.

I still have not made a call yet on whether to cancel or not. Giving it a few more days to decide, which direction I want to go.

For those thinking of cancelling, if you plan to take the car no matter what, I see the dilemma...as you want the car. However, note that if you wait and can't go, you're still going to get the car around the same time you would if you could go. If you are only going because of the car, you really can just wait it out until the 2 weeks before when you have to actually pay for it. If you're like me and you have to pay the extra $400 for more than 2 weeks of insurance, then you have to do that about a month out (before you buy the car), so you may be coming out of pocket. TLDR, wait it out!

That's the exact reason I'm going to wait it out. I would expect, even with a redirect for Performance Center Delivery, I'm still getting it around the same time.

Still have my fingers crossed. Flight got re-routed through NYC instead of SFO, but still scheduled...

20,000 people is definitely a big number but hardly enmasse. They traveled to Berlin from all over the country. Mostly right wingers, white nationalist and anti vaxxers who are against Mask wearing calling it government overeach. Majority of 83 million Germans are mostly following the directive of social distancing, avoiding unnecessary travel and wearing masks
You are right it could lead to more shutdown but not relaxing of the rules. The government condemned these demonstrators stating that it could lead to further spread. I doubt they will give in to these trouble makers.

There's an argument (the strength of which aside) that we are making an important purchase, especially for those conditioning the entire purchase on the Munich delivery.

Is this True?
My dealer is telling me that Raven stated to him that people are taking Euro deliveries.

" To ease some concerns you and I have both been having. Raven Cooper with BMW European Delivery has stated that US residents have been into Germany and taking delivery of their vehicles without incident."

My understanding was that no American is allowed in Europe due to Covid-19?
I dont want to go there and be refused entry.

That is so strange. Do they have some sort of "business letter?" Do they have EU passports? I'd ask for more information. Do we know if Raven also handles the Canadian BMW EDs? If so, that could be who these customers are.

I wonder if it is true in regards to the business letter. Who wants to reach out to Raven so we don't drown her with requests?
